   This adapter is a must for anyone using a desktop for HDMI projection. I’m all my years of tech usage, I never realized that desktops do not have the portable HDMI ports. This adapter was a quick, easy, and inexpensive fix to my dilemma.

   I attempted to convert various HDMI signals to DisplayPort with this device for use with my Flanders Scientific monitor. No signal or anything. If I wasn’t hard up for time, I’d return this useless item.

   In our office when we personalize a worker’s site for convenience and ease of work, it is very helpful when we order a new piece of equipment (In this instance we went to a 2 monitor system) It was great to be able to order the adapter to make what we already had totally usable.

   We ordered 30 of these for a new building that was completed on our campus. The button to release the adapter from the machine is hard for people to see. After a few connections plastic will start to separate and it’s not that long until the adapter just falls apart in your hands. These are junk, stay away and get a different model.
