I added a second SATA hard drive to my computer. It did not come with cables. The computer power supply has a number of pigtails with the old white plastic connectors. This cable converts them to the connector used for power on the SATA drive. It works just fine.

This adapter was used to connect my IDE power source to my new CD burner, which has a SATA power plug. The available SATA power plug in my pc was too short and far away from my CD burner location. Not being a technology handy-person, I do not know how to splice a new SATA power cable out of my pc’s power seat, which is enclosed. This cable provides an easy way to hook up my new CD burner with electrical power.

I inserted a drive into the spare 3.5 bay of this Mac Pro, and used this power adapter cable to make it work.

The cable worked out very well. My hard disk reappeared. Thank you

Very good and cheap price!

The SATA connector is too big and doesn’t allow room for the data cable that needs to be plugged in next to it on the hard drive. I had to file away some of the side of the connector to make it fit with the data cable.
