I like the size of the sauce pan. The design is sleek and nice, has a nice weight to it as well. One thing I dislike is the cover can only be removed if you have a potholder as it gets just as hot as the pan. I think this is something that could be changed so it does not conduct the heat that way. I have other pans that I can grab the handle and it is not hot to the touch. When boiling water for pasta, it comes to a rolling boil quickly which I like. Other pans tend to take forever which I dislike. I love the fact that I can put it in the oven as well and do not need to worry, just like a cast iron pans. The handle is long and not cumbersome.I would highly recommend it.

This was my first time cooking with stainless steel. I was a little scared, I have always heard that it can be a nightmare with food sticking. I wasn’t doing any frying since this is just a saucepan, but I have used it twice now and both times have been really great experiences. Aesthetically, this is a very nice looking saucepan. I’d really love to own the whole set just based on how lovely it looks! It’s heavy and the metal is thick. As far as performance, it’s awesome! It heats up super quickly, the handle on the pan doesn’t get too hot, the handle on the lid does not get too hot. I love that the lid is clear so I can see the food inside as it cooks without having to take the lid off and release the heat and steam. I used it just now to make pasta with a thick tomato-based sauce and, after simmering on a low heat setting, it came out perfectly – tender pasta, thick, creamy sauce, delicious. Gordon Ramsey probably would not have had anything mean to say about it. No pasta sticking to the pan, and this little bit of sauce will rinse right off after a short soak. I’m honestly impressed with it and I’m looking forward to trying out some of Calphalon’s other stainless steel cookware products.

This pan is the perfect size for almost anything and everything. I have found that this pan is the one I use the most to make all our meals. Is very easy to clean up and stores nicely in the cabinet. This pan has a nice feel to it while using. I like that it has a wide base to it instead of the more narrow pots, which makes adding ingredients easy while cooking. The pan heats and cooks very evenly on my glass top stove. I can see more pans like this coming to my kitchen in the near future. This pan is very stylish and seems very durable.

This is my first premier sauce pan that I’ve owned and I’m in love! This pan is stainless steel, so it’s great quality and I don’t worry about nasty particles or flaking that can get into my food. I love how this pan is wider than my other pans which makes it easier to cook certain foods (my husband loves boiling his hot dogs in this pan!). The first thing I noticed while using it was how evenly the heat is distributed, which requires me to stir less while making sauces and certain foods. I like the flat glass lid, it sits nicely on the pot and you can see the food cooking without taking the lid off. The handle is nice and long, never gets hot and is very easy to handle. It’s also all easy to wash, I do prefer to wash mine by hand but it is also dishwasher safe. I feel that this pan will last me a while so it is definitely worth the investment if you’re thinking about purchasing.

This pan is fantastic! It came well packaged, wrapped in plastic and cardboard protecting the finish and the glass lid. The pan itself is VERY heavy duty, sturdy and well made, The rivets from handle to pan are fit tightly and the lid fits very well. Upon use I noticed that heat is evenly disbursed allowing an even cook. The handle, although steel does not get hot and can be handled without the need for a heat pad or glove. Clean up is super easy too! I have both hand washed and put in the dishwasher with zero effort needed to accomplish a clean finish. The nonstick surface is great and the ability to use metal utensils is an added bonus. Would definitely recommend this pan.

So I recieved the 2.5 Qt Stainless Steel Sauce pan from Calphalon for free in exchange for a honest review. This dish is amazing! It arrived very well packaged so that it stayed in place and the the glass lid didn’t break during shipment. It is a little heavier then a normal pot/pan since its made of stainless steel. I love that nothing sticks to it when I cook and its such and easy wipe clean when doing dishes. You don’t have to scrub at all. The care instructions are very simple and printed on the box for you to easily see. It also comes with a Lifetime Warranty!! I love it so much that I will be purchasing the rest of the set!!
