Calphalon is of course a ubiquitous manufacturer of many pots and pans. This little 1.5qt saucepan is compact and perfect for making small amount of sauces such as a beurre blanc or hollandaise. The size is also fantastic for boiling small amounts of water, or making simple syrup, etc. A rubber grip handle stays cool and reduces slippage.

I probably won’t use metal utensils just to be on the safe side. This 1.5qt pot was the perfect size for the 2 hot dogs that I made. The water didn’t boil over with the lid on. The pot didn’t show any signs of scratches after I ran it through the dish washer. The handle on the pot and lid did not peel off.

I was very happy with the Calphalon Select Non-Stick 1.5 Quart Shallow Saucepan with Cover . I have never seen or used one like it. It’s non stick, it’s light weight, and it has a deep shell inside, so it holds more than the normal saucepan. I love it. I would recommend it to anyone. It’s made of good quality material and is designed great.

I get a lot of use out of this little saucepan. It is just the right size for me using it to heat up soup or spaghetti sauce portions for 1 or 2 people. I like that has a nice sturdy heat resistant handle and the lid fits perfectly. I had no problem with cleanup since none of my food stuck to the surface. I also appreciate that it can transfer to the oven during cooking which I use to keep warm while other items are on the stovetop.

I eat a lot of ramen noodles – that said, this pot is absolutely the perfect size for it! It’s Dee enough for me to add in eggs & veggies without it spilling – and my eggs doesn’t stink to the bottom. The handle is light and thin – the entire pot is light to carry which is a bonus for me. The one thing that I kind of don’t like is the lid – it is kind of bulky for the lid handle. Not to worry, if I flip it upside down, I can store it much better 🙂

This is a good high quality pot however empty it’s very heavy which at first didn’t think about until i used it. Because heavy empty means it’s extra heavy when something is in it. So I will use this pot because it’s a good decent pot but i won’t use it it if im cooking with liquids because i’m not going to drop it and than burn myself or worse someone in my home. And it also will not be a pot that i use a lot. Good for a back up.
