This knife set is everything I’ve ever wanted. It sits in a beautiful dark wood block that looks classy in my kitchen and matches my cabinets. I love that it sharpens each time a knife is removed. I also love that it has 6 steak knives and a large bread knife which I’ve found is hard to come by in some sets. All the knives are labeled on the end of the handle and they are perfectly balanced. Best of all, the food doesn’t stick to the sides of the knives so you don’t risk slicing your fingers when you’d go to remove it.

I received these knives a few weeks ago. I was In need of a new set, and I am very picky when it comes to my knives. I cook a lot, and a bad set of knives makes it so difficult to cook large meals. These self sharpening knives are awesome! I also love the design of these knives. The handle of the knives fit comfortably on your hand while you’re cutting. It is hard to impress me when it comes to knives, so when I tell you to add these to your collection, trust me! Highly recommend!

These knives are amazing. So much better than I expected. All of the the knives are sharp. The self sharpening knives can cut everything in the kitchen (food related of course). Even the steak knives are sharp. The box the Calphalon Contemporary Self Sharpening Nonstick 13 piece set has easy to follow directions on the box. I would caution to be careful as these are comparable to chef knives. I am enjoying using this set. The sharpeners are great and easy to use. I was excited to see the bottle opener attached to the scissors. I would definitely recommend this set.

I have bee using these knives for a couple of weeks. I really like them because they are lightweight but strong enough to do what I need to do. I like the feel of the knives and the look of them. I love the block because it is real wood. It’s very attractive and the wood smell is wonderful! I always forget to sharpen my knives so the sharpener built into the block is the best ever!

I absolutely love this set! This is by far the best set I have owned! The nonstick blades works great, and I love that the sharpener is in the block so that I never have to do it myself. I’ve used the scissors for cutting meat they worked great. I have no complaints every knife I’ve used from the block was really sharp I had no problems at all.

This Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick Cutlery Set is a beauty. It comes as a 13 piece cutlery set that features a built in knife sharpener. The knife block is made of dark wood with a sleek, clean design and adds a extra luxe factor to my kitchen countertop. It is heavy and does not tip over. I like how portable the block is since it does not need to be plugged in for the knives to be sharpened. This cutlery set comes with 11 various knives including 8” Bread, chef and slicer knives; 7” santoku knife, 3.5” parer; and 6 steak knives. The knives are designed with German forged steel blades and black handle accents. The first 5 knives I mentioned are sturdy, sharp and slice beautifully. The blade to handle is designed seamlessly which makes cleaning it easy. I have not experienced any rusting or staining and have used them daily. The quality of the 6 steak knives could be improved though. The paint seems to be chipping where the blade and the handle meet; the sealant doesn’t look like it was applied effectively. Only the chef, slicer santoku, and parer knives are designed to be stored in the sharpin feature of the knife block. Handling them overall is easy and its high quality is apparent. I highly recommend this cutlery set.

This knife set is so much better than any set I have owned before. First of all, I love the block. It’s nice and heavy so I don’t have to worry about it getting knocked over on my counter top or anything. The combination of the dark wood and the metal looks very sleek and fits in nicely in my kitchen. I love the built in sharpener feature. I personally hate trying to sharpen knives myself and now I don’t have to, the block does it for me. That is my absolute favorite feature of this set. The knives themselves are amazing. They fit my hands great so I can grip them comfortably when cutting. They are very sharp and have cut through everything I have tried to with ease. I love that the set also comes with a bread knife. I have had a hard time finding a set that included one and I use a bread knife a lot. Overall I am very pleased with this set. I have a feeling it will get used for a long time.

I always have trouble with knifes going dull and with the built in sharpener feature this set is well worth the money. Top 5 knifes are labeled. So far everything has washed well too. The knifes have a good grip to hold on as well.

This knife set is ingenious. I appreciate that it includes every knife I might need (and some that I’d never heard of before) in a block that cares for them more regularly and efficiently than I ever could. Aside from the fantastic assortment of cutlery, the set in its entirety is elegant and sophisticated. In the past I hid my knife block in a cabinet. Not anymore.
