Product is well made and functions well in the few times I’ve used it so far. The brushed look compliments most kitchen decor. There’s no indication that this shouldn’t last for years to come. Looking forward to utilizing all of its features.

I received this product as a wedding present and have used it quite frequently. It’s lightweight and easy to use. I love using it for pasta due to the built-in strainer. It saves me from having to use and wash a separate strainer set, as well as from having to tilt a heavy pot full of steaming hot water. It takes a bit of time for the water to boil, and it’s a little hard to store since it’s pretty tall and I have limited cabinet space, but I just keep it on top of the stove so it’s readily available when I need it!

This set should not be part of the Contemporary series as it isn’t triply as the rest of the line. Unlike the regular 8qt Contemporary stock pot that uses thick metal walls this stock pot is made of thin metal that rusted on first use.The only positive side I can say is that the pot, steamer and pasta bowl doesn’t mess with the food flavor as a lot of other (mainly cheap) stainless steel on the market.

Needed a replacement soup pot and found this one which was reasonably priced and well made. The cooking surface allows for soups and stews to simmer nicely without burning. Only problem I have is the lid “pops up” while the soup is simmering and spits onto the stove surface. I fixed that by putting a wooden spoon under the lid to keep it partially open. Also food does leave stains on bottom which cannot be removed even following cleaning instructions.

Overall the pot is nice. It feels very sturdy and goes well with my nonstick Calphalon Contemporary set. I was a little concerned because a screw on the steamer basket seems to have rusted after the initial wash in the dishwasher. The pot and strainer basket seem fine though.

I have had my kettle and strainer for over 40 years. It was that blue speckled kind that you used to get in any hardware store. I make a lot of soups and still do some canning. It was time for a change. This multi-pot is beautifully made. My other pot has found a new life in the chicken coup. On butchering day, we fill it with cold water and use it to cool down the hearts, livers, necks and giblets.

I already have a 8 quart pot and I thought the strainer would be compatible with mine but it is unique to the supplied pot. It still is a great buy and have already used it.

We use this pot for so many things. We make pasta, we steam corn, shrimp, tamales, and all kinds of vegetables. We make Caldo (Mexican soup) in it, and other soups and stews. Its a very handy size.

This pot was given to me as a gift and it has become a favorite addition to my Calphalon products. It is so versatile, use as a steamer with the smaller colander, the larger one is great for spaghetti, the pot alone is wonderful for soups, and stews. It’s just a great pot and dishwasher safe!

I’ve used this for everything from steaming tamales to cooking pots of soup.

I purchased the multi-pot to replace a pasta pot; having it as a steamer was a plus. As stated in other reviews, the sides of the multi-pot seemed rather thin and after first use, there was discoloration on the inside bottom of the pot. On closer inspection, the discoloration seemed to be residue from the manufacturing process. After scrubbing the bottom with a Scotch-Brite pad, the discoloration was gone. I think this is something Calphalon should look into. Don’t really want to think about whatever it was that I scrubbed off getting into my food. Due to the thinness of the pot sides, I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t any copper sandwiched between the stainless steel as commented on in one of the other reviews. I do like the sturdy feel of the see-through cover.

I use this set in my Kosher kitchen as one of my meat pots. It was great at holiday time for chicken soup and matzah balls for a medium size crowd. For every day we use it for pasta, and the strainer is super handy.Everything is easy to clean, and I’m very happy so far.One downside however, would be the lid which moves up and down a bit when things are boiling.

This piece is constructed well; inserts and handles are very sturdy. 8 Qt size enables a large amount of vegetables, pasta or shellfish to be steamed at one time. The two sizes for the steamer inserts work very well. Glass lid is OK; cannot really use to see status of food, though, as condensation on inside of lid “clouds” viewing. Overall, a decent pot for the money.

I bought this to go with my 13 piece contemporary set. The design of this pot is slightly different than the 8-qt that comes with the set. Since the set doesn’t come with a strainer though I would reccomend this for the value.

This product make so much sense. I love using the same pot to cook pasta and steam vegetables! I’ve been telling everyone that the Multi-pot should be in every kitchen!

Just got this on the weekend and I love it. Don’t know if it was my imagination or not but the pasta seemed to cook a lot faster. It is also excellent for steaming large amounts of vegetables, and with all that it looks great.
