I don’t think I’ve ever been impressed by the actual design of something as utilitarian as a kitchen knife, but this one doesn’t look like any knife I’ve ever seen before! It is unbelievably sleek and stylish. And it’s not just the knife that is stylish. It comes packaged in a white outer box with some oriental characters on it, and inside that box there is a beautiful black box, again with oriental characters on it. Open the fancy black box and the knife itself is nestled inside a liner. The presentation is really special. The knife itself is a very appealing design with the blade and handle being all one piece of stainless steel. There are two black pieces fitted into the handle for a comfortable grip. However, while the grip of this knife is okay when cutting vegetables, fruit, cheese and so forth, I also used it to cut up an acorn squash which has a hard outer skin, and the grip on this knife was not very comfortable for that when compared to my old, much less fancy white handled run of the mill knife! If I was looking for an out of the ordinary gift for a cook, this would be my first choice, mostly because of its appearance and packaging, but it is okay for light weight cutting as well.

This knife looks really sharp and it is really sharp. I cut up a number of vegetables including beets, carrots and sweet potato and it cut through them without a problem. I also used it to cut a raw fish fillet. With my older knife it is hard to get the skin cut right through but this knife sliced right through it.The only negative is that the handle of the knife is quite narrow and rectangular. This means that if you cut up a lot of vegetables the corners of the handle could start to hurt your hand. I didn’t have too much of a problem with what I cut up but I could start to feel it on the edge of my hand.It comes in a fancy box so it would make a nice present for someone that likes to cook but needs some better equipment.

I’ve never owned any really nice knives, so I had no idea how much difference a quality item could make! I love this knife and will definitely be adding more of this line to my kitchen! It’s a great weight, substantial, but not heavy to use. Sliced roast beef neatly and easily without the roast disintegrating. Cleans easily and there aren’t any little nooks or grooves to catch food particles.

I was very happy with this knife because who couldn’t use a great knife in the kitchen. Everyones knives after a while start to give out and this is something that I could’ve used in my house. I truly enjoy cooking for my family and this knife was excellent for not only meats but as well as vegetables that needed a good cut. I didn’t know about this brand until i came across these in the review so i will be using these from now on.

This is a gorgeous knife with a very nice cutting motion, super sharp out of the box, came in a very nice box. Light and very nice looking knife which slices, chops and dices with ease. I have now learned from experience to start washing my knives by hand as I have found that placing them in the dishwasher not only leaves spots and seems to dull them. This knife is modern, slick and very attractive. It’s sharp, so be very careful when using as I have already experienced the accidents that can occur when knives are now carefully utilized. I think I will definitely buying a couple more of these as I find them very well crafted.

This Cangshan X Series knife puts all of my other knifes to shame. It has a good balance and feel to it. Has no problem cutting meats and other food products. I have used it many times and it is as sharp as the first cut. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty and is made of forged German stainless steel. I now use this knife almost exclusively for all of my cutting needs.

I’m not new to the word of chef’s knives, but I’ve never tried one with a handle quite like this. For me, it was perfect. The tang extend the entire length, which gives it a nice strength, and balance to the knife. The blade is nice and long, and balanced nicely for me. The edge arrived nice and sharp, so I didn’t need to do any fine tuning right out of the box. I love how the handle is one piece without any really rivets, as that gives less of a place for bacteria to hide. For me, the heel, bolster and shape of the handle fit very nice and comfortable in my hand, and allowed me to get a proper pinch on my knife for what felt like the first time. I highly recommend trying one out in person to see how it feel to you.
