These knives and their wood block holders are phenomenal. The set of knives complement a good cook because they are precision made and are well balanced. They are sharp and each knife performs exceptionally well in relation to each’ specific design. They look so sharp on our kitchen counter. They have the appearance of high quality tools for any chef.

I really do not care for the steak knives and wanted a set that had all the necessary knives for cooking. This set has a great pair of Santoku and Chef knives which are well balanced and razor sharp. The blades work effortlessly through bones as well as hard veggies like beet.. One thing I really like about these knives is that they are all steel which gives a nice grip and weight. This also means no rivets, plastic handle, etc to wear or break off. I personally feel that heavy knives are more safer to operate as you can make precise strokes. I also liked the included wood block which has a very slim profile and does not take up much of my valuable counter space. Full marks to this set.

The N1 Series 6 Piece German Steel Forged Knife Block Set is a wonderful addition to my kitchen! The hollowed out handle style is an interesting visual and takes a little getting used to in the hand but seems to help with the weight distribution. The smooth finished wood block is very contemporary looking and measures 2″ wide and 11 1/2″ long. The knives arrived super sharp and allowed me to chop raw potatoes and carrots without any effort. These are by far the best knives I have ever used.

These are without a doubt the best knives I’ve ever used. Aesthetically, the narrow block is relatively unobtrusive sitting perpendicularly on my counter top, right next to the range. The knives themselves are a beautiful, simple design, and feel great in your hand; very well balanced and secure. The blades are amazingly sharp. I didn’t struggle cutting through tougher foods such as cold cooked chicken and day-old hardened bagels(used serrated utility knife for that). They chop vegetables so easily–makes me want to cook more! If you can afford the price, you won’t regret getting these.
