This is a home kitchen grade knife with no true wizardry nor a stellar finish, but mine was truly sharp right out of the box. The thickness and weight are great for root vegetables and red meats and it will make short work of carrots and even a turnip. It is full tang with a basic handle and the blade is a full 8″ I’m not sure I fully understand the boast of it being “German steel” when it has a Chinese brand name, but it does feel the part of my more expensive knives, perhaps a bit heavier, and it will part out a chicken with ease.

THIS KNIFE IS VERY SHARP AND EASY TO USE. THE QUALITY IS OBVIOUS AS SOON YOU HANDLE THIS PRODUCT IT FEELS AND HAS THE BALANCE OF WELL MADE KNIFE. IT COMES IN A NICE BLACK BOX FOR STORAGE AS WELL IT IS BOXED TO MAKE A NICE PRESENTABLE GIFT. This beautiful knife is the perfect addition to your kitchen. The first impression comes before you even open the box. The box is very decorative, and holds the knife firmly in foam on the inside. The presentation is top notch.The knife itself is even more impressive. It has excellent balance and is easy to use.It is quite sharp and able to hold an edge allowing you to cut through meat & steaks like butter. It’s well made of high quality German steel.The design is also wonderful. Most Chefs have a really good knife set, but they always have that one knife, that they always use over and over. This knife will quickly become that knife for you. I found the weight of the blade to be well balanced, along with the length of the blade. I appreciated the construction of the knife the tang runs the length of the handle, added to it’s high quality. The box that this knife is kept in is very professional looking. You will find this a nice all purpose knife for slicing,chopping and carving. Remember to hand wash only, and NEVER put a knife in a sink….

Some serious cutlery! This carving knife arrived in time for Thanksgiving preparation and for the heavy work on the T-Day turkey. I am no professional or expert with knives but my brother in law is a professional cook. He always does the carving of the turkey and the other serious carving and chopping, etc. chores that there are during the prep for the big meal. Although he has never commented about my lousy knife collection in the past, I know he has much better knives than I do. This year when he finished carving the turkey he complimented the new knives I had gotten with no prompting from me! This told me that I wasn’t the only one who really liked this Knife! The knife arrived nicely packaged, sharp and ready to go after a quick wash. It is very attractive, has a full metal tang and a comfortable handle. Great knife. I bought three cangshan chef knives for work knowing I was going to keep only one. This was the winner. It feels great in the hand and looks classy but not too flashy. Would recommend.

The knife comes packaged nicely. It’s a good weight–feels sturdy and well made in our hand. The blade comes very sharp! It was great–no problem cutting through fruits, vegetables or meat. The handle length is nice and the grip feels comfortable. I also like the look of it–the ivory colored handle is a nice change from the darker handles that I have on all my other knives. I wish the blade was a touch thinner, but overall it cuts well and is comfortable to use.
