Great ink tank, for many uses

Really good ink! A bit pricy, but it’s pretty big and combined with the other 11 cartridges, it will last a wile. (Depending on how much you print of course)

While the Canon inks are quite over-priced (by Cannon), they work well and the printer handles them nicely. I’ve tried refills and find they tend to clog heads (although the color is good with them). I stick with manufacturers brand simply because it treats the printer kindly.

The Pro1000 seems to burn through this particular cartridge even though a majority of my prints are on matte paper. The product itself is consistent and seems to work well but the printer, in theory, should not be using so much material when printing on matte paper. I’m replacing this cartridge literally twice as much as any other cartridge….

This is the ink of choice for my favorite printer

Order off brand ink from those who sell it, there is no guarantee that you get what you ordered or what you get won’t harm your printer. Stick with Canon and you can’t go wrong.

Great ink for a great printer.

You don’t have another choice. You bought a photo printer- this is what you feed it for those awesome pics. 3rd party inks don’t save much and aren’t worth the hassle.

Sure enough, it is cyan!

Great but expensive.

It is pretty black

Lucia Pro is a nice ink system. By far the color that runs fastest is the Chroma Optimizer, roughly three times as fast as the next one in the list of colors that run fast, which for me was Photo Black (then closely followed by Gray). The subsequent colors to run fast depend more strongly on what you are printing. I was doing a lot of greens, so I had the Yellow and Blue run faster than the other colors.

the Cyan tank gets a better-than-average print/tank ratio than most others. That’s probably a function of the printer algorithm than the tank. I stick with the Canon tanks, since an off-brand substitute I tried almost killed the printer (clogging).

I have used about 1/2 of my first set that came with my new printer. I am now ordering the second set to have on hand as reserve. It is not my experience that the chroma optimizer cartridge is used up 50 times faster, as noted in another review. I have the clear coat set to auto, rather than overall in the paper detailed settings. As a result the chroma optimizer cartridge is being used at the same rate as the other inks, and have I been very satisfied with all of my glossy prints, particularly with the Canon Platinum Pro paper. About half of all the prints I’ve made have been glossy.

Good quality ink but at a price many times more expensive than third party products, some of which now score as high or higher than OEM inks.
Gerry Schimmel (verified owner) –
good products and great service. fair prices.

This ink set replaces all the ink cartridges in the Canon ImagePrograf Pro-1000 printer. Buying the set saves a bit of money over the cost of all of individual ink cartridges but it will depend on what type of printing each individual is doing. Usually the ink cartridges are not consumed at an equal rate. This is pigment based ink so, properly used, should produce museum quality prints with a long life expectancy. As with most manufacturers, the printers are relatively inexpensive but it costs about 60% of the printer cost to replace all the ink cartridges. As a photographer I want the highest quality prints but there is a price to pay for that level.

No matter what the paper is….Canon or Red River, I always get wonderful results from my printer with Canon ink. It is so easy to get a real, professional photo at home for me or actual customer. Had to get individual tanks this time because the ink set is unavailable at this time.

Awesome paper

The only thing that actually works in the Canon Imageprograf-1000. (I’ve tried the re-fills & off-brand, they tend to hurt the printer.) Canon keeps the price far to high. It works & makes good prints.
