Great ink

I have tried 3rd party ink replacements and found they tend to clog the print-heads. I’ll stick with Canon inks (Even if they are over-priced and the printer seems to drink them).

You don’t have another choice. You bought a photo printer- this is what you feed it for those awesome pics. 3rd party inks don’t save much and aren’t worth the hassle.

They work as they should.

This is a full set of inks that work well in my Canon Pro-1000 printer. I just wish they were less expensive!

No matter what the paper is….Canon or Red River, I always get wonderful results from my printer with Canon ink. It is so easy to get a real, professional photo at home for me or actual customer. Had to get individual tanks this time because the ink set is unavailable at this time.

I use this in the Pro 1000 and the colors are always true!

I always had Epson printers for my fine-art photography, but when my R2400 died, I replaced it with the Canon ProGraf Pro-1000 printer, which I love. It has a large set of inks as well as an ink cartridge that puts a clear coat on the image to protect it. The magenta works great on semi-gloss papers I use such as Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss and Canson Baryta Photographique II.

The Canon P1000 printer is without question the best printer I have ever owned. Vibrant colors, rich blacks. Stunning B&W and platinum prints. All owing to the pigment inks from Canon. I agree, they are pricey. I print mostly 16×20 prints and I find I get plenty of prints from the cartridges, including the CO cartridge. I find I use the CO cartridge at the same rate as the other cartridges.

Ink worked as expected kinda pricey though.

It does the job. Easy to install.

True Canon ink supplied so it works like it should. Kind of hard to get with various tanks on back order regularly. B&H keeps to the suggested price – no extra costs which is good. However this is one of the highest cost-per-photo inks around with no really good alternative., so I’d rate it OK.

great ink for my canon pro 1000

The only thing that actually works in the Canon Imageprograf-1000. (I’ve tried the re-fills & off-brand, they tend to hurt the printer.) Canon keeps the price far to high. It works & makes good prints.
Whitney Hill (verified owner) –
Effective coating for making images pop, just wish it was cheaper as it tends to run out before the other inks.

just black

The printer delivers great color and black and white prints, but it goes through ink very quickly is ridiculously expensive.

I mean there isn’t much to say about these. They are what they are, and you need them for your Pro-1000. That being said, I appreciate that the large-ish volume makes the ink more economical than canon’s cheaper printers like the pro-10. I also love the richness and color accuracy of these inks, though I’m not sure if that’s really feedback about this ink set or about the printer they are used in. Either way, great ink. Definitely don’t go to the trouble to buy an expensive, top of the line printer and then ruin its ability to ensure color accuracy by using in-calibrated third party ink.

While the Canon inks are quite over-priced (by Cannon), they work well and the printer handles them nicely. I’ve tried refills and find they tend to clog heads (although the color is good with them). I stick with manufacturers brand simply because it treats the printer kindly.

What can one say about an ink pack? It works, but Canon now packs a little less ink in some of the tanks. (I measured since I started to notice immediate changes in the ink levels – about 1/10 of an oz less per tank in the latest batch.) B&H keeps the price the same as Canon (expensive, but some other folks charge retail ++). Not much choice when using a higher end pigment printer.
