   The only thing that actually works in the Canon Imageprograf-1000. (I’ve tried the re-fills & off-brand, they tend to hurt the printer.) Canon keeps the price far to high. It works & makes good prints.

   the Cyan tank gets a better-than-average print/tank ratio than most others. That’s probably a function of the printer algorithm than the tank. I stick with the Canon tanks, since an off-brand substitute I tried almost killed the printer (clogging).

    The ink works great but for what Canon charges for their ink, they should give their printers away free of charge.

    This is the low-end of the print/tank ratio. It might help with the longevity of prints, but I cannot even tell that it’s on the paper. Far overpriced for what it does and how much it is used.

    I always had Epson printers for my fine-art photography, but when my R2400 died, I replaced it with the Canon ProGraf Pro-1000 printer, which I love. It has a large set of inks as well as an ink cartridge that puts a clear coat on the image to protect it. The magenta works great on semi-gloss papers I use such as Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss and Canson Baryta Photographique II.

    No matter what the paper is….Canon or Red River, I always get wonderful results from my printer with Canon ink. It is so easy to get a real, professional photo at home for me or actual customer. Had to get individual tanks this time because the ink set is unavailable at this time.

    I used to have to buy these inks individually when the printer first came out. I’m glad that Canon bundled them and that B&H has them in stock. No waiting for back orders or for B&H to locate the item, they had it in stock and delivered promptly. The box arrived in good shape and packed well for the long trip to Hawaii.

    The color from my Canon Pro 1000 is amazing. I have to buy ink more often than I would like, but the results are justified in my opinion.
