   My printer (Canon Pixma Pro 9000) like most other high quality printers has a tendency to use up a lot of expensive ink, in this case (Canon CLI-8 cartridges). After surfing the internet for a cheaper solution I purchased a generic brand for about half the price. Not long after using these generic cartridges I began to experience problems while printing. Sometimes there would be discrepancies in color or sometimes an individual cartridge would die on me altogether. Oh well. I tried. So at least for now Canon is the only reliable High Quality choice for picture prints. I do however use the generic ink for everyday tasks. My reason for only three stars is due to the price only. I guess Canon will never give us a break here.

   I had to look into a lab because feeding my Pro9000 II has become quite expensive. The product makes beautiful prints, but at a cost. It seems that there is always a tank running low.

   Used on Pixma Pro 9000 Mk II. For some reason this is one of the most used colors,(PM used more) be prepared and stock up. I have gone through the Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta inks long before the other colors show any signs of use. The prints I have made so far all have varied colors with no dominate color present. I am not sure if this dominate use of the PM and PC cartridges is typical or not. So far this has been my experience. The quality of the ink is awesome, it dries and cures very fast on photo rag or glossy paper. Nice vibrant, natural colors.

    Printer ink is expensive, but I like to stick with the original Canon ink for best resutls. My wife loves the vivid colors that result with Canon inks.

    I bought a canon pro 9000 mark2 to replace an epson 1800r.The big diffrence between the epson and canon like daylightnand night. The canon ink cartridge you can look at it and see that it is realy empty. The epson catridges you can not.The colors are great with the canon the canon cartridges last longer to.

    I have a Canon Pro9000 Printer and the only ink cartridges I use are the 8 different colors in the Canon CLI-8 series. They are simply the best. I would not even think of using another brand.

    I find that the Canon inks in a Canon printer give the best photo prints. Can’t be beat for quality.

    For Pixma9000 – great colors, fash shipping from B&H My only beef is that the Pixma seems to go thru ink fairly quickly, but then again, that’s how Canon makes their $$$….
