Helmer Erdman (verified owner) –
First of all, I purchase since years at B&H and trust their expertise blindly. They are 100% professional, but this time made a fatal error: I wouldn’t be claiming if the following was my issue! I had to buy 10 rolls of this Canon 310 g german etching paper as I had no option for the other german brand I buy regularily at B&H. It was out of stock. After asking B&H precisely if this Canon paper meets the same requirements as the german one, they told me it was the exact same paper as my home brand, as they process the paper for Canon. It was clear for me to have a reasonable response and bought the amount of paper I needed. I payed a huge amount of import taxes and freight to MX and discovered the paper is absolutely useless for fine art printing, even for any printing. Trash. I use a Canon IPF 8400 serviced regularely. The printer and room ar absolutely clean. White spots appeared on the prints because the wet ink softened loose cotton debris or particles under the coating which finally fell of just coming out of the printer. Specially to see on black printed areas. After long correspondence, B&H told me and decided I had to try to clean my printer and handle the paper carefuly. But this is not the issue. This paper is the worst quality I ever hold in my hands. Even hair is impregnated under the coating. I am very dissapointed as I may be loosing this claim and can throw away the paper. It is not even fair to even think about reselling it and then listen to the next owner claiming what rubbish I sold him.
