I started using the semi gloss when I got my Pro 9000 mark II, now that is the only paper I use. I find the color is as good as the glossy and I do believe that it dries faster. It’not as reflective as the glossy, so you don’t need to use non reflective glass with all your frames. Oh, and don’t worry about finger prints too much.

After reviewing plenty on YouTube, I am very satisfied, at this time, with the Canon Semi-gloss paper as I already have the ICC profiles already on the Pro 1000 which makes life very easy. You should know I am only in the initial stages of printing after a few years of doing nothing in photography, especially at the level the Pro 1000 offers. Tom

For inexpensive paper this works quite nicely. It is hard to beat the value though it isn’t acid free. The prints come out quite lovely. (using a Canon PIXMA Pro-100) Lots of detail in the shadows and a good range all in between.
