It’s ok but lacks the punch that the glossy delivers (to be expected from a semi vs gloss). I will say that for portraits it’s got a nice softness and a slightly greater tonal range than glossy can’t deliver.

Definitely a novice with this but the photos this machine prints easily rival those i have had printed at @ and other local photo printers. I have printed duplicate photos for side by side comparison and cant tell a difference in quality. Very professional copies from this machine.

I have used this paper for maily portraits and for being a semi gloss is not as reflective as I thought this might be it has a very nice feel and the images printed on this paper are awesome once you have used the correct profile for it.

I’m using a variety of Canon papers with a new Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer that I just bought from B&H, & am very happy with the semi gloss paper that came with the printer. In particular, the 13X19 prints on the semi gloss are beautiful; crisp & clear images, very saturated colors, great tonality in the black & whites with the dedicated black, gray & light gray inks.

I got the paper at ‘no’ cost as part of a Canon Printer deal. The semi-gloss has a very nice sheen to it that minimizes reflections. The paper was shipped in a box for extra protection, but my box had a dented corner that caused several of the photo sheets to have a slight bend in one corner – be sure to check the outer box for damage.

This is amazing photopaper, but somehow hard to find. When I bought my Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mk II printer I tried every paper Canon makes and decided that this one was the best for my needs. I love the satiney finish, gives enough luster without being over the top like the glossy can be or muted like the matte can be. Either Canon need to produce more of this or you ought to get it when you see it because it seems to go fast!
