A part of the ChromaLife100 System, this replacement 8.3mL CLI-281 XL Cyan Ink Tank from Canon will allow you to create photos that will last up to 100 years in album storage. Designed for select PIXMA-series inkjet printers, this dye-based ink will maintain overall print quality for up to 30 years when the print is mounted behind glass or up to 20 years in an open environment.

When you check your local photo store and find that the ink you need is $25 for the XL and you need 4 different colors you pick up the phone and dial B &H because you know that their prices can’t be beat. I found the 4 colors that I needed for just $70 for a savings of $30.

It seems that getting style 281 XL ink is expensive! This packaged assortment is a good value and allows you and me to order the colored inks, which I use less than the black, without the large black cartridge, which I need more frequently. It is a good value and cost considerably less than ordering each color separately. I am not comfortable using other than Canon’s ink in my Canon printer as the quality of the refills is inconsistent.

My Canon printer will still use regular black when out of the PGBK black, but this one really is good for smudge-less text. B&H Photo deserves the real 5-Star review. I started out using them years ago for photography equipment. They are always fast in delivery and reliable!

Canon Pixma works good for my printer. Even though its is considerably more expensive than the after market products, I can not afford to have my printer malfunction. It is worth the price.
