Share physical prints of all your latest memories with the portable black SELPHY CP1300 Compact Photo Printer from Canon. This Battery Bundle comes with a battery so that you can easily take the printer along with you to events or gatherings. Using dye sublimation technology, you can quickly and easily produce vivid and sharp photographs with a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi. Also, the Wi-Fi-enabled CP1300 is quite versatile, as it is able to work with a variety of media, including 2.1 x 2.1″ stickers and 4 x 6″ postcards. It’s fast as well, with the printer able to create a 4 x 6″ photo in just 47 seconds, getting your prints ready to share in no time at all.
For ease of use, the CP1300 is equipped with a large 3.2″ tilting LCD screen which can be used to check settings, apply effects, and preview images before printing. It also provides access to direct printing from the USB host port and SD card slot. For wireless operation, the printer has multiple options for connectivity, including through a Wi-Fi network, Apple AirPrint, the Canon PRINT mobile app, and wireless PictBridge. There are even new functions, such as Party Shuffle Print, which allows multiple people to connect to the printer at once to create unique collages. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 for a wired connection to a computer and runs on either AC power or on the included battery pack.

I bought this to be able to quickly print 4X6 prints for a church Christmas party. It produces beautiful prints in seconds. Couldn’t be happier for what I intended to use it for.

The printer came in convenient packaging and was easy to set up. I downloaded the Canon application on my phone and was able to wirelessly print the pictures. It was easy to use and I am very impressed with the quality of pictures from the printer. They look much better than any home photo printer I’ve seen. The only downside is the cost of the ink and paper as it comes out to be about the same cost as getting your pictures printed at most stores but is worth it for the convenience of quick and easy printing! I should mention that I was sent a free same to use for this review.

Pictures look drab and lack sharpness. So far I printed from an SD card out of a Canon camera.

Second printer I purchased – – – Nice product. I bought one for myself in the summer, now buying a second for a friend as a gift. It basically works. Connects well to Wi-Fi network, and you can print directly from a phone or PC over a network. The unit prints photos that are just shy of 4×6 – mildly annoyed it isnt a true 4 x 6. The paper has removable tabs (makes it slightly bigger than 4 x 6 if you dont remove). Image quality seems quite decent. Better than typical prints from a cheap inkjet printer. The ink cartridge is a bit big, and seems a bit wasteful. . .but Canon did a good job keeping it simple. Bottom line is paper and ink runs about 30 cents per print. . . probably a bit more given natural wastage. Prints take a minute or two a piece. . . .good for printing 3-5 prints on demand after a party. NOT for printing 60 photos for a big project (although, I did once see someone using this in a photobooth style application at an event). The device is quite portable. I do put it in a knapsack to take with me on occasion. It looks a bit clunkly with the big power brick and the paper tray attached; you end up carrying several pieces with you. However, the end results are basically 4 x 6 prints. . . not the almost worthless 2×3 prints from more compact units. Well worth the hassle in my view I bought a version with the battery. Nice to be able to setup without plugging in for run, gun, print photography. (i.e. take a photo with SLR, then immediately push a selected picture or two out to the printer). This device has definitely improved my life (seriously) as I can now print off a few photos after a party or family event *immediately* and people have a nice takeaway. Sending photos to a phone is nice, but it is better to *also* have a physical copy.

Recently I was offered a free sample to test a new Canon Selphy CP1300 printer. Overall I found the setup very easy, instructions are pretty clear on how to load the paper and get things started. for more tech savvy customer, you can print directly from your smartphone by installing a free Canon app. I took a view photos of my dogs and sent it to the printer and got done in less than a minute. The quality was just as good as getting it developed somewhere. The printer also gives you the option to hook up a usb or memory card to print from. So there`s a nice range of options to get your pictures printed. If I did had a criticism, it would be a lack of photo editing options, for example it cropped part of my picture and would like a way to fit it all within the photo. There may be an option, but I couldn`t find it under the settings. In conclusion, this is a great choice if you want an easy way to print pictures, and even better since you do it right from you phone.

I would have readily given 5 stars if it weren’t that I had difficulty getting the first print, I didn’t know I used my phone to make a print. Only after I scrolled down did I understand the print button was on my phone. The prints are beautiful, crisp and true to color. Very easy to use now that I know how to use it.

I was amazed by the accuracy of the color match ability of this printer. The picture quality is superb for a home printer. I love that this is a portable device. Such a nifty device to do all my photo work.

This printer has CMYK ribbon that prints color one by one, finish product is amazing, like getting it from a lab.

I got this printer for Christmas, and I must say that I *love* the print quality. The colors are magnificent. My only real complaint about this printer is the paper — it “claims” to be 4″ x 6″, but it’s not. The paper, when measured between the tear-away edges, is closer to 4″ x 5″. The printer DOES print full 4″ x 6″, but part of the print is outside of the perforation. This is very frustrating, because it means I can’t print a true 4″ x 6″ print. I would rather have paper with NO perforations that I had to trim myself than to print on a smaller area. Canon should not claim it prints 4″ x 6″ if the final print is not 4″ x 6″ after the tear-aways are torn off.

I received a free sample of this Compact Photo Printer to review and I`m so glad I did! I just love this little photo printer! It`s compact, quick to set up and install, and prints pretty good quality pictures right from your smart phone, and wireless might I add! I downloaded the Canon app as instructed and connected my photo library, and voila! I was printing postcard size (about 4` X 6`) pictures right away! About 4 – 6 sheets came with the printer as well as a cute little ink drum. You can print other sizes as well, including wallet sizes which is awesome when you need some extra prints! Printing takes a little while as the photo paper feeds through about four times for each primary color to make a full color image, but it`s totally worth it. I`m not sure if the quality of the image on your phone is directly connected to the quality of the printer as i noticed some pictures came out more clearly than others – one small drawback. I purchased extra photo paper and used these for scrap booking, gifts to family, and a personal photo album. Overall, I very much enjoyed the photo printer and am surely going to have a lot of fun with photo projects!

This is easy for an adult and a child to use woth an adult setup. Wired or other means. Sd card with enhancements or wireless. It came with a big refill of dye sublimation plus packets of paper. B&H gave a great bunble and this is my 3rd. Scattered around this was a holiday gift for a child so no battery. My other 2 I did want portability. Thank you B&H

This is my second Selphy. First started jamming after the jostle of a change of residence. It appears to be slightly less sturdy but with more features that the earlier model. Fortunately the same supplies work with both. Essentially you get a high quality dye printer that is small and convenient for casual shots, much like you might at a drugstore. The newer unit is more cell-phone friendly, and being wireless, gives you an alternative way of sending prints as opposed to bluetooth, which it also does. So if you have a home network, you can send a print from anywhere in the house. A really good value … I use it for all my casual 4×6 prints and some reduced-scale 5×7’s as well. My Canon Pro-100 does the rest of my prints. It appears that Canon’s current approach is to become the 4×4 printer of choice for the new breed of instant cameras. Thus this Selphy may be the last of its breed. I hope not.
