Share physical prints of all your latest memories with the portable black SELPHY CP1300 Compact Photo Printer from Canon. This Battery Bundle comes with a battery so that you can easily take the printer along with you to events or gatherings. Using dye sublimation technology, you can quickly and easily produce vivid and sharp photographs with a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi. Also, the Wi-Fi-enabled CP1300 is quite versatile, as it is able to work with a variety of media, including 2.1 x 2.1″ stickers and 4 x 6″ postcards. It’s fast as well, with the printer able to create a 4 x 6″ photo in just 47 seconds, getting your prints ready to share in no time at all.
For ease of use, the CP1300 is equipped with a large 3.2″ tilting LCD screen which can be used to check settings, apply effects, and preview images before printing. It also provides access to direct printing from the USB host port and SD card slot. For wireless operation, the printer has multiple options for connectivity, including through a Wi-Fi network, Apple AirPrint, the Canon PRINT mobile app, and wireless PictBridge. There are even new functions, such as Party Shuffle Print, which allows multiple people to connect to the printer at once to create unique collages. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 for a wired connection to a computer and runs on either AC power or on the included battery pack.

It’s for sure easy to use. I would expect a bit more quality in printing.

The printer itself comes packaged pretty well, and is reasonably small – not pocket sized, but definitely will fit in a hand-bag for easy travel. Putting it all together was pretty easy and straightforward. Setting it up with the phone was a bit tricky. We tried all different methods – wifi, Bluetooth, nfc. NFC seemed to work the best for us. For printing, using the downloaded app on Android doesn’t display all the pictures; it’s easier to browse to the picture from the gallery, and share it to the Canon app directly. Pretty painless. Quality of the printer is definitely good – feels very well built. Pictures get printed pretty fast, and print quality is good as well. Just make sure the picture you’re printing is not blurry to begin with as the printer obviously can’t fix that. Definitely had a fun time testing this – simply select a picture on the phone and print, done! I should mention that I received a free sample for providing an open and honest review of the product. If you are looking to print decent sized prints, quick on the go, I would most definitely recommend this printer. The only thing I can think of, that I’d like to see changed / added, would be some sort of battery attachment so it can truly print on-the-go, instead of having to look for power outlets.

I have used these Selphys for years. Later versions can hook up to your computer and smartphone. Price per print might be high but if you only occasionally need a small print, this device really fills the bill.

I really like the Selphy printers, they are compact, portable and cost effective. (about 27 cents per print if you buy the 108 print pack). I bought this to replace my CP800 which finally died after years of use. I took away a star on my rating for two reasons: 1) Canon took away the slot for Compact Flash cards that my previous CP800 had. (Not a huge deal since I can connect the camera directly and use PictBridge. 2) This model uses a USB mini to connect to a computer. I would prefer a standard USB connection that the CP800 had. On another note: I have read reviews where people claim that the printer (all Selphy models) will waste the ink ribbons if you turn the unit on or off with the cartridge inserted. I have tested this and can state that this is in fact false!

Purchased this printer to print images off my iphone. I am very pleased with the quality of the prints but I am still trying to figure out print options. It seems you can only change print sizes when using an SD card. Overall very happy with the printer.

This is a cool piece of tech. I got it in the mail just over a week ago (I got a free one if I agreed to review it) and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Now, you may be thinking, enjoy? How do you enjoy a printer? Before this I would have agreed with you. It does what it`s supposed to and it just looks cool as it`s working. Let me start at the beginning though. Out of the box it was super easy to set up. The instructions were full of visual aids (clear enough that a five-year-old could do it) and I was up and running in no time. Connecting to my wifi took a couple tries, and that might have been my fault with entering the password. But it was just a couple minutes and it was ready to go. For my first test I wanted to give it a challenge to see what the quality was like. I`d taken a picture in bright light of a monarch butterfly and I`d kept the bug in focus while everything else was out of focus. This is where the coolness happens. Instead of just printing like any regular printer, laying down all the ink as it goes through, it instead lays down one color at a time, CMYK. The effect of this is that it pulls the photo paper though and you see all the Cyan of the picture on the photo. Then it sucks the photo back in and adds the Magenta. Then the Yellow. Finally the Black. So you see the photo pop in and out of the printer several times with a new color being added each time. At this point you`re thinking, is that really what you`d call cool? I had friends over for someone`s birthday and took a picture of the bday boy with his bday decorated giant cookie. I then printed it out right in front of them and they all were just as awed as I was. Plus, he got to bring an actual physical picture home with him, not just have a digital copy on his phone that he`d probably never think to look at again. And, as with the butterfly, the printer executed its job very well. (The convenience of a polaroid, but without the shaking, and way better quality). The only downside I see to this right now is that it seems like it could be very mobile, but unless people have jump drives (which this can use to print) there`d have to be a wifi network wherever you want to use it. One of my first thoughts was using it at a wedding for pictures taken, but if the venue doesn`t have wifi you`re out of luck. I don`t know if the technology would allow it, but I can image Bluetooth could get past that barrier. If this is something that you plan to just have in the house or the office though, it`ll definitely do the trick. I don`t know how long the ink cartridge lasts (I ran out of photo paper before ink and haven`t bought more), but I can`t imagine they`d sell a product where you can only get a dozen prints per cartridge. So to sum up, if you have a need to print photos not in bulk (and if you appreciate a cool printing experience) this will definitely do the trick. I can foresee this definitely being used moving forward (as opposed to other tech pieces that are just collecting dust).

I previously owned one of the original models years ago that unfortunately broke. I decided to purchase this updated one. It works fine. It is supplied with a sample package of 5 blank photo paper sheets, and one cartridge. I used it with my SD-450 with a pict-bridge connection and it worked fine. All the colors and details looked great. I will set up the blue tooth feature at a later time. There is one big DRAWBACK that most people don’t understand. You can not shut off the printer if you want to get a full set of 36 photos with the one ink cartridge. Here’s why. Every time you shut off and then turn on the printer, you will make the film cartridge automatically advance one photo without actually printing the photo. The best way to get the maximum amount of photos is to try to print as many photos as possible in one sitting. Remember, you will lose the potential of printing a photo and eventually wind up with many blank pieces of photo paper and an empty print cartridge every time you turn the printer on and off.. Another Canon drawback involves support. Previously, you could call Canon directly on their 800 number and be connected to a tech who could answer basic (quick) questions , etc. Now, you have to go online and set up a Canon account before accessing Canon on their 800 number. I personally don’t like their current system. Hopefully their tech support will still be good when and if you need it. Last, but not least. The price of a box of 108 photos sheets, and 3 cartridges was recently raised from about $30.00 to about $35.00 per box. The main good feature is that you can immediately print your photos from where ever you are as long as you have either access to an electrical outlet or purchase the optional battery.

Printer meets expectations. Initially had a problem printing the small 54 x 86 mm sticker prints because it was unclear that you needed a dedicated small cassette (Canon PCC-CP400 Card Size Paper Cassette). However, once received, system works perfectly. Associated Canon Print apps could work better for cropping of small stickers. The 4×6 paper with printed postcard lines is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family old school style.

While the paper-feed mechanism attached to the main body by a means just waiting to be knocked about — hence 4 stars, the unit was easy to setup and easy to print pics. I connected to my PC via USB cable. The quality of the three pics printed so far is as outstanding as the quality of the image. For the occasional ~4×6 print, I’m so far satisfied.

Compact, portable, and easy to set up and use. I bought this for my girlfriend’s mom and she loves to use it to print out her photos directly from her phone.

With the Canon app you can make multiple prints on the 4×6, to replicate a photo booth etc. Photos print out very clear. This printer is so much fun.

This little printer is fairly simple to use. The WiFi set up wasn’t as easy as I had hoped and I’m fairly good with computers. I continue to get errors at random when trying to print over WiFi, but that may just be my “meh” internet. I run a photo booth, but I don’t always do printing on-location. I wanted something portable and easy for the times that I do need to print while at an event. I looked at DNP printers, but they were more than I need right now. Overall, a fairly easy to use printer that gets the job done!

I replaced this Selphy with my Epson PictureMate. Which was much bigger then this great Selphy which I love. I thought it would take a long time with printing since it goes in and out with each color. Takes no time at all and is very fast. Was shocked on printing my first picture on how beautiful and natural the colors are. I just love it!
