Share physical prints of all your latest memories with the portable black SELPHY CP1300 Compact Photo Printer from Canon. This Battery Bundle comes with a battery so that you can easily take the printer along with you to events or gatherings. Using dye sublimation technology, you can quickly and easily produce vivid and sharp photographs with a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi. Also, the Wi-Fi-enabled CP1300 is quite versatile, as it is able to work with a variety of media, including 2.1 x 2.1″ stickers and 4 x 6″ postcards. It’s fast as well, with the printer able to create a 4 x 6″ photo in just 47 seconds, getting your prints ready to share in no time at all.
For ease of use, the CP1300 is equipped with a large 3.2″ tilting LCD screen which can be used to check settings, apply effects, and preview images before printing. It also provides access to direct printing from the USB host port and SD card slot. For wireless operation, the printer has multiple options for connectivity, including through a Wi-Fi network, Apple AirPrint, the Canon PRINT mobile app, and wireless PictBridge. There are even new functions, such as Party Shuffle Print, which allows multiple people to connect to the printer at once to create unique collages. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 for a wired connection to a computer and runs on either AC power or on the included battery pack.

So far we’re loving this photo printer. It works fast, connects to our iPhones via wifi with no problem and creates very nice 4x 6 photos.

The picture size of 100mm x 148 mm is just right. The setup for printing from my cellphone via WIFI was easy. I am still exploring and learning all the features.

I printed directly from my Galaxy S9+ and the print quality is decent. What I don’t like is that you cannot use 4×6 photo paper – it has to be Selphy paper only. From the user manual: “IMPORTANT Use only paper in a genuine Canon Color Ink / Paper Set for SELPHY CP printers. Other paper, such as regular postcards or paper for SELPHY ES printers, cannot be used.” Unfortunately, I was not aware of this prior to my purchase.

The UI is a little wonky, but the quality is good for the price if you’re just doing home photos. Lots of fun

It prints out in good time, but every print was so cool that I had to edit them and make them extra warm before printing.

Won’t print the correct size from photoshop or iPhotos.

I realized I had lots of photos on my phone which don’t get seen so thought it would be fun to have this for quick prints and longer memories. Nice quality, although the photos come out smaller than expected. The cartridges print only 18 photos and I don’t know if they are recyclable.

I got the CP1300 recently to set up a photo booth for Halloween visitors. I needed something small and portable for where I needed to set up, and this fit the bill in that regard. I was also needing to print directly from my Nikon camera. Nikon’s cameras can’t connect to the printer using direct wifi connection (that is, using the printer’s wifi network). But the USB connection worked well enough. There was one time that I connected the cable and printing didn’t work, but I restarted the printer and the problem didn’t re-occur. Something important to know regarding USB connection to Nikon cameras: when you connect the camera to the printer over USB, the camera immediately switches into printing mode. So, while connected, you can’t shoot, and you can’t retouch images in the camera. Thus, you may need to shoot, connect and print, then disconnect to shoot some more, or disconnect to retouch. When connecting or disconnecting, though, the transition is pretty quick for both the camera and the printer. So, it wasn’t too much of a hindrance. (The worst problem was printing, then deciding an image needed to be retouched and then reprinted, so needed to disconnect to retouch.) Each print out of the camera takes about a minute and a half. (I didn’t actually time this.) The print takes four passes-that is, it will come out of the printer and get pulled back in for three passes, then come out for good on the last past. When it comes out the fourth time, the print was sufficiently dry to handle immediately. Print quality was pretty good, better than I expected from such a small printer. An issue that I encountered was that prints were dark: they looked good previewing on the LCD on the back of my D750, but then the print would be too dark. So, I started retouching every image in the camera to lighten it (more precisely, I used Quick retouch), and than helped. I got an extra pack of 108 sheets of 4×6. The ink cartridge is easy and quick to install / swap. Each cartridge is good for 36 prints. The 4×6 paper for the printer is longer, with perforated ends that are needed for the printer handling. I’d certainly recommend using Canon’s paper/ink kits and not look for any 3rd-party alternatives.

Just got this printer and I already have two problems…. the skin color is VERY unsaturated and washed out when I print from my phone. I’ve tried numerous different pictures and even opened and used a second print cartridge with the same results. Also I get an error message when I try to connect this printer to my Canon 80D camera. I guess that this printer might not be compatible with all Canon cameras.

I received the Selphy CP1300 Compact Photo Printer for review. The setup was very simple and fast. It came with some ink and a few sheets of photo paper. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand and follow. The instructions included different options of how you can connect it to varying devices. I first used my phone and the wifi for my setup. All I had to do was enter in my wifi information and password, download the app on my phone, and I was able to start printing pictures wirelessly from my phones album. Next I inserted a memory card from my camera, you follow the onscreen menu of the device and you choose which picture you would like to print. The prints were clear and good quality. Overall, I think this is a great product. I have twins and I take lots of pictures, I don`t always have time to upload them all to photo sites to get them printed out. This is a great way to capture and share some of my most precious moments with my family.

Overall this is the quality I would expect from Canon and is a well made, fun gadget that is very user friendly. I have a ton of photos on my phone that I never print but with this I can edit and print with just a few taps. I wouldn`t say the photos are true professional quality but certainly as good as or even better than big box store photo lab prints or any instant print booth I`ve ever used. It has a sleek and compact design and is pretty quiet when printing. There are several built in editing features that can be used but I did find these a bit cumbersome to use and prefer editing on my phone or computer before sending to the printer. The replacement paper/ink are a bit pricy but if you break it down to price per photo it`s comparable to the price at most photo labs. Pros: -Good quality and design -Easy to set up and use -A lot of available features -Can print wirelessly from phone, computer or via SD card (there are other ways too but these are the specific ones I used) Cons: – Can only print up to 4×6 sized photos – Replacement ink and paper are a bit expensive – product only came with 5 sheets of printer paper **Product was recieved free of charge to review however this review is my honest opinion of the product.

I received a free sample of this SELPHY photo printer, in return for an honest review. Overall, I am very pleased with how the product works. The setup was simple and using the printer was quick and easy. The photos do not print in one quick print out of the printer rather than the colors are laid on in 3-times through. I think the instructions are easy enough for anyone to use. The only thing I would change about the printer, may be the buttons. They work great, but touch screens are easier to use. OVERALL A+ PRODUCT.

Works like a charm–and THANK YOU CANON FOR NOT CHANGING INK CARTRIDGE FROM MY OLD SELPHY CP900. For once, the manufacturer hasnt put consumer in a bind!

Bought six months ago – – – Nice product. Now buying a second for a friend as a gift. It basically works. Connects well to Wi-Fi network, and you can print directly from a phone or PC over a network. The unit prints photos that are just shy of 4×6 – mildly annoyed it isnt a true 4 x 6. The paper has removable tabs (makes it slightly bigger than 4 x 6 if you dont remove). Image quality seems quite decent. Better than typical prints from a cheap inkjet printer. The ink cartridge is a bit big, and seems a bit wasteful. . .but Canon did a good job keeping it simple. Bottom line is paper and ink runs about 30 cents per print. . . probably a bit more given natural wastage. Prints take a minute or two a piece. . . .good for printing 3-5 prints on demand after a party. NOT for printing 60 photos for a big project (although, I did once see someone using this in a photobooth style application at an event). The device is quite portable. I do put it in a knapsack to take with me on occasion. It looks a bit clunkly with the big power brick and the paper tray attached; you end up carrying several pieces with you. However, the end results are basically 4 x 6 prints. . . not the almost worthless 2×3 prints from more compact units. Well worth the hassle in my view I bought a version with the battery. Nice to be able to setup without plugging in for run, gun, print photography. (i.e. take a photo with SLR, then immediately push a selected picture or two out to the printer). This device has definitely improved my life (seriously) as I can now print off a few photos after a party or family event *immediately* and people have a nice takeaway. Sending photos to a phone is nice, but it is better to *also* have a physical copy.

The Selphy was easy to use once it’s set up. The printing quality is solidly average (you can see faint lines from where something has clearly gone back and forth with the ink) and the resolution is not great up close. That said,it gets the job done for most uses. Also the ink cartridges work for 5 photos each so.. a bit more waste results from this than I was anticipating.

First they claim to print 4×6 they do not. It requires their perforated paper which prints outside the 4×6. The brand new ink cartridge printed 5 photos before saying it was out of ink… Very disappointed.

I rate it 4 for quality, ease and portability. I opted in for the battery and it seems to work great, so far. Bought additional ink and paper packs but the ink cartridges, by far, does NOT match the capacity of paper…Basically they give you 3 packs and 3 cartridges, but 1 pack of paper is enough and used up all 3 cartridges(actually 4 because I used up the starter cartridge)…still like the printer but just wish higher ink capacity cartridges. Will update as I check out the other functions

Perfect gift for wife. But some minor criticisms: special attachment is required to print stickers (which isn’t super apparent); prints are nice high quality photos, but scratches easier than what you’d get at a 24 hour photo place; would be nice if could print in matte.
