This genuine printhead was very easy to install. It was also packaged very securely by B&H

Original equipment replacement for my large format printer works great.

Got the warning on my Canon ipf6100 that the left printhead needed to be replaced so I ordered this part. Popped it in the printer and it functioned properly. Its a pricey part, but B&Hs prices are in line with everywhere else and I trust them as a company.

. . . but if you, B&H is the place to get it. Easy to find on the website, shipped right away and got here on time. Best price I could find from a reputable seller.

I’ve replaced two print heads in 6 years on my Ipf610 , heads are expensive but necessary, B&H packs these much better than other places.

I have now replaced both print heads on this old IPF-5100 printer. This is what I love about canon printers (among other things), you can replace the print head and have a like new printer. I love this printer, built like a tank and although OEM inks for it seem in short supply I will continue to use it until it falls apart. To bad Canon doesn’t make a 17 roll feed printer anymore.

My iP5100 kept giving an error message to check nozzles and press OK to terminate printing. Problem was, it gave the same error messages when I tried to print a nozzle test pattern. Since I couldn’t print I couldn’t check nozzles. I placed the printer in service mode, and was able to print a nozzle test pattern. Sure enough, half of the GY had no output. Replaced the printing head and all was well again. It takes a while because you have to drain ink, replace the head, refill ink, and print 8 pages to do a head alignment. It is worth it, because afterward, the printer does a beautiful job again.
