My favorite Glossy paper…… it looks nice, and lovely, however, like any glossy paper, better be wearing gloves, cause figure prints leave marks easily.

I have now used three different surfaces with the Pro-100 printer, and my conclusion is that Luster is the best all around. This new glossy paper reveals detail and sharpness best and has excellent black reproduction, however the color is not nearly as good, particularly lacking in blue saturation. With this paper, I’m not able to match the saturation I get in Luster prints even by pumping up the saturation before printing. I am disappointed in the results I’m getting. The accompanying photo has good blue saturation on screen but the print appears dull. IMO this paper does not work to best advantage with the Pro-100 printer.

For what this paper is, glossy photo paper, it is great. But if you’re looking for real clarity and detail, better to go with photo rag or the better quality and more expensive papers, like the bamboo or sugar cane papers, which B&H also carries, like Hahnemuhle.

I use this product quite a lot and I like it … so do my clients. It is bright and takes the canon CLI-42 inks well. The resulting prints are stunning and the paper is substantial; it has nice feel to it. I use this term (feel) because many of my clients have offered exactly that description. Others have said Oh, I see you use very high quality paper. (My writing of this review was just interrupted by a call from a client that may be of interest. He said The prints are beautiful. I have just had them framed and they are on their way to my family. Thank you!. These were all printed on 13 x 19 paper.) This is truly an excellent product.

I use this paper and the 8.5×11 size on a Canon i9900 using a profile created with a Color Munki. Photos are taken with a Nikon D800 profiled with a Color Passport (all available from B&H) and printed using Lightroom 4.1. Stunning results! The paper is whiter than white, giving me beautiful clouds and highlights. Expensive but worth it.
