I have used many 6×4 photo papers in my Canon Pro 9000 printer but the quality of the Pro Platinum 6×4 is amazing. You would have to look hard to get paper that is as good a quality as this

Yields fantastic results for portraits, landscapes, any subject.

prints looks like they came from a Lab with my Pro 9000 printer.

I’m a photography student in San Francisco. In the past I’ve used Epson 5-star paper — which is the only paper allowed on school printers. However, when I print at home on my Canon MX860, Pro-Platinum is far superior in the make and print quality. I couldn’t be happier. When I make prints of my photo assignments and share them with the class, I get nothing but praise for the paper I’ve decided to use.

If you want a Canon lab quality printer to really shine, use this paper. Excellent.

I work out the look for an image (color images) using Pro Platinum and print for presentation on Canson Platine. I notice a difference between the two in bright highlights and deep shadows, the Platine has a better look in the brightest areas and maybe more detail in the deepest shadows. The glossy finish of Pro Platinum is another distinguishing point relative to Platine. Otherwise, the two are very close, but Platine costs four times as much.

I’ve always chosen Canon. For Canon lovers, & for people who have the Pro9000 and similar, I think you’ll like this paper. I do recommend you let it dry for 36 hrs. They say 24 hrs but I think it is better to be extra cautious. It does feel as if is drying faster than the pro ii and having tried both I agree. Nonetheless, a little more drying time isn’t a bad idea. as it doesn’t come with extra cover sheets like the Canon regular pro paper in the same seize does. I’m not sure why they decided not to provided us with the extra sheets, but as far as the paper, I love the gloss, especially on high contrast work.

… and metallic paints. (Think hot rods and custom bikes) This paper is for you! Forget the false colors of the metallic papers. While they are good, this is the best for cars and bikes. True colors, moderately heavy weight. Love it!

This paper is as close to a screen matching print that I have found, love the tonality, the gloss and the end result.

… Love buying from these guys. Quality of paper is amazing! I use it with the Pixma 9000. A huge difference from my old Epson printer & paper that printed everything way too dark.

I’ve been using Pro Platinum paper for a short while now but have been very happy with it. The quality of my prints has increased dramatically.

yes, it is glossy. but the prints from this paper are really good. Like them better than the German papers and the price is much better. and pigment inks of the Canon pro 1000 add a little longevity is only 5 years longer than the pro 100 inks which costs less. To use on the pro one needs to buy the paper in rolls and cut it. But who makes the paper…there is no Canon name stamped on the back like most Canon papers…..Perhaps this is why it is so difficult to buy?.

I love this paper… it gives a very professinal result.

Bought this product to try, after reading the favorable reviews. Had a great bird picture that I was foaming at the month to make an enlargement of. WOW! very impressive in many ways; brightness and weight especially. Not cheap paper but what value do you place on your art? You get what you pay for.
