This is Canon’s best high gloss paper. Printing with my Canon RS9000 printer and Canon driver profile PT1 results in accurate color and exposure. The print is high gloss with a durable weight. The big cons to this paper are the high price and very high drying time. Canon claims an almost instant drying time with their newer CL-221 inks. When the prints first came off my printer (which uses CL-8 inks)they had sort of a brownish fog to them. This slowly went away but the final colors didn’t settle for about a week. This problem was most prevalent in the deeper shadow areas. For this reason I do not consider this paper and ‘every day’ paper but more of a specialty paper for mounted or displayed work.

I use this paper for fine art photo reproductions. I print on a Canon 9500 Pro and the pigments work beautifully on this paper. I get wonderful tones and details that make my photos POP. The pictures must be handled carefully as not to scratch them. I use this paper for 80 percent of all of my prints for my gallery.

Just got some of this paper to go with my new Pro9000 printer. Very pleased with weight of paper and the flawless glossy surface. Colors are great. Prints are nicer than from pro printshops. As for longevity, check back with me in 200 years and I’ll let you know.

Great gloss, great contrast, colors that sparkle. I use this paper when I want the most contrast I can get, especially when I’m printing an image with a lot of black. It seems to be slightly warm, which I don’t particularly like, but it doesn’t really show unless it’s side-by-side with a more neutral paper.

I used this paper with a Canon 9000 Mark II, and I can honestly say that the quality is the same as what I’d get from a professional photo lab. The colors even seemed more vibrant on the paper than they do on my monitor. It’s pretty pricey though, at almost $2 per sheet …, so this should probably be reserved only for your best pictures.

This is the best photo paper I have used for my Canon Pro 9000 printer. The colors are vibrant and the prints come out looking gorgeous. I have tried different papers from companies but each time I have returned to this paper. I usually use a smaller size of this paper for most of my prints but I wanted some big sheets for a few larger prints to put on the wall. I highly recommend this paper for a Canon dye printer.

It’s a good paper in high gloss. The specs are v good. The B&W output is completely full toned, & toward the purple/cold side, hence the Platinum designation. The profile works well, no complaints especially at the cost.
