In a direct comparison to Photo Paper Plus II on my Pro 9000, Pro Platinum produces a much cleaner white while reproducing mid-tones and blacks that are more neural as well and lacking in the magenta cast that Photo Paper Plus has. I have no means of verifying longevity, but it does make me feel better about printing on it. Hopefully, I’ll get back to you 200 years from now to see if it proves itself out.

I’ve only used Canon Pro papers since I purchased an I9900 printers years back, then I was shooting bikes and models and like the consistency. When I moved to the Pro-10, I had a couple issues, but they were operator error, imagine that! Being old film guy, no matter how big the screen it’s not a photograph until it printed! Sorry for any spelling issues, got a gas bubble in my eye for a retina tear and detachment
