I thought I’d break down and get this Paper, as I always went for cheaper lighter photo paper. What a difference! I’m glad to have these in stock for my best shots. Quality is top-notch.

This paper is my primary paper for fine art nature photography. It is bright, incredibly crisp, and allows my imagery to ‘POP’. The weight of the paper makes it easy to handle. The color saturation is excellent (I print on a Canon 9500 Mark II with canon pigments). The paper also holds incredibly crisp lines, nearly matching prints on white film, at nearly half the cost. The surface can be scratched easily, so care is required when matting and framing (as with most papers).

Purchased the paper last week. I printed a few photos with this paper and they all look great! Thick heavy paper and nice texture add lots of value to the prints. Love it and will buy it again.

I’ve used this paper for photographs that need maximum sharpness, brightness and color. It’s a very heavy stock, so make sure your printer can handle heavy-weight paper.

prints like a pro. Beautiful finish to this paper & great compatibility with the Canon PRO9500.

I’ve always printed on this paper, and for good reasons. It’s durable, and the prints hold ink crisply. My go to when my supply is low!

I use Canon Pro Platinum for their photo paper, inks, and other photographic needs. exclusively, and always purchased them through Canon and one other provide. However, they were out of stock. I then turned to B&H. It was in stock, and the service I received to get a large quantity was superb and timely. I could not have been more pleased and will continue to use B&H for my future photographic needs.

Although well educated in photography and design, I am not enough of a professional to make any specific claims about the quality of this product. However, even on my low end canon printer the results are incredible and will not disappoint. The paper’s heavy weight feels very durable and the tones and colors, especially in the shadows, are excellent. I went through University having to take my files to a professional lab to be printed. It would often take days to get the images back and significantly damage my bank account. Now, a beautiful image can be outputted at home, in a color managed environment, for a fraction of the cost. I can’t wait till the day I can afford a large-format setup.

I ran several tests prints on my new Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II printer, comparing Canon’s Pro Platinum to several Ilford papers (Galerie Smooth Glossy & Smooth Pearl, Classic Glossy & Pearl, and Smooth Lustre Duo). The differences were not striking but are noticeable. Pro Platinum won hands down for bright, colorful prints and is now my paper of choice. The ink absorbs almost immediately, so there is no smudging, although I still take the recommended precaution of letting prints dry for a full 24 hours. Pro Platinum is clearly worth the small price premium in my view.

Love the quality of my photos on this paper. The paper has a sturdy good feel. Tip, I did have to go through the simple step of cleaning printer rollers on my Pro 100 before the paper would feed right. After that all worked great!

This paper is glossy to a fault. The surface is tender and some colors produce metamerism. But it may have its purpose.

This is my second favorite paper for the Pro9000 MK II printer, using the included paper profile. Colors are bright, sharp, and accurate. It is my second favorite only because I prefer the matte finish of the Fine Art Photo Rag. The Pro Platinum paper is also highly touted for longevity, but I cannot confirm or refute that. I’ve not seen any info on the longevity of Photo Rag.

The claim by Canon is that color prints made with their inks and this paper can last 200 years. I can’t speak to that 🙂 But the prints are spectacular ! The colors are bright, the whites are white, and the blacks are black. My clients always remark about the feel of the paper. Many times they have said You use quality paper !!. I agree with them.

I’ve used this Canon paper on my IP6700D, MP800, and my Pro 9000 and have found it to be an excellent quality paper with good colours and a also a good weight and thickness. I also like the glossy finish.

Pro Platinum Paper combined with the Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II is an unbeatable winning combination for any photographer.

I have used nothing but Canon Photo Paper Pro and now the Pro Platinum paper and Canon inks since I first bought my I9900 printer and recent upgrade to the Pro-10, for my photos I like the high gloss and the papers weight. I was just moving some images around and there is a noticeable difference in the Canon line up. I realize there are many choices available, but for myself the Canon line just works!

I use this paper with a Canon Pixma Pro9000. Right after I bought my printer, I tried several different papers, included several cheaper alternatives. I wasn’t truly satisfied with my prints until I started using this paper. It’s worth the extra money.
