I use it for oversized prints on a Canon printer and I like this paper for the practical aspects of handling it – primarily. One cannot escape the feeling that this media has the look and feel of canvas and not paper. It withstands stretching, it’s impossible to tear with bare hands, it’s re-positionable for tens of times, easy to eliminate air bubbles, easy to cut with cutters /blades and easy to laminate. Make no mistake – this media can take a beating. Especially for large size prints the advantage of fabric structure cannot be overestimated – paper would have creased and torn in so many ways while fabric is really a pleasure to work with. I wish it was also glossy – matte looks too flat for me and my feeling is that the details in the shadows and highlights get lost. However when I tested to use it also as a Facemount on acrylic, those tones immediately popped out too.

We’ve used this product recently to create large promotional stickers that we’ve used on the walls. Very easy to print on, easy to cut, and installs great on smooth surface walls. Adheres firmly but can be removed easily without damaging paint.

Customer service at canon says to use Canon Synthetic Adhesive for the paper profile which is weird but still it worked out great.

Wow, there is some incredible color depth to this paper. The only thing to note is that, being fabric, the media is very susceptible to dirt and fingerprints.

Produced a photography show using only this repositionable self-adhesive vinyl. It worked perfectly! Great image quality. You can view the show at the Manny Cantor Center, 197 East Broadway, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side through Feb. 4, 2021

It’s well known that printer companies don’t manufacture their own paper/media. They use products from other companies and simply distribute them under their own brand name, often backed up by lab testing to be sure they work well in their printers. It’s a win-win for us. I confirmed that this media is produced by well-known Photo Tex, and is also available under the labels of Kodak and Lexjet (and at time of writing, HP may be joining soon). The point is you need not worry about the brand on the box not matching your printer. You have options to find the best supply and size for your needs. I tried this offering from Canon after having trialled a non-Photo Tex product. Both were used in my HP z3100ps printer (24 inch model). This one by Canon was superior in every respect. The colour gamut is very good. After profiling, prints were faithful to my colour-managed display, with clipping in predictable areas (just like any print) and manageable. The HP inks bond very well with no print quality issues and no tendency to rub off when handling. Images are vivid and despite the textured surface, do not appear overly washed out. This is helped by there being almost no glare/reflection off the surface. The texture itself is a very fine weave, quite smooth, more like a paper than a textile. The opacity is good and seems to cover painted surfaces completely without showing through. The whiteness is very bright. From photographs to graphics, I love it so much I want to replace all my satin/framed prints with it, and gain the freedom of sticking them up wherever I want. And I’ll probably never print on canvas again! The sticky back is as advertised, it applies well to glass and painted walls without excessive tendency to bubble, and it holds solid, but removes readily without any damage. And unlike photo paper which easily gets wrinkle/crease damage during handing, this flexible fabric is a lot more tolerant when handling. So if you have any decent aqueous ink printer (Canon, Epson, HP), I wouldn’t hesitate to try this product. It opens up so many possibilities!
