Runs out fairly fast if i print high quality, but that’s too be expected. Be careful with oversaturation and you’ll do fine. I use the printer primarily to print proof my images before sending them to a printer for large sized prints.

… The ink tanks seem small and run out quick. You need to have a spare set of ink tanks if your going to do much printing. Might be worth trying the aftermarket ink tanks which are sold for about half the price of these original ink tanks

I like my iP4700 printer so much I bought two. B&H has the best price on genuine Canon ink. Aftermarket inks are cheaper but can be troublesome, and I worry how long the photos will last. One thing I like about this printer and these ink cartridges is that when it says the cartridge is empty, it is empty. There is not a drop of ink left. Also, this printer will still print grayscale if one of the color tanks is empty.
