This is an amazing printer capable of beautiful color reproduction. I bought it so that I could print on a variety of substrates including 330 gsm cardstock and it has not disappointed. The scanner gets the job done, but it’s not a good substitute for a dedicated scanner. At 600 dpi there is some fuzziness. The rollers tend to be noisy on the intake of paper, this is not a quiet machine. Print speed is average to slow, but I feel that the 100% borderless printing capabilities more than compensate for this. Very few printers on the market at this price range can deliver borderless professional looking prints. My postcards look stunning every time. I really love the versatility of this machine.

The new PIXMA TS9520 was a replacement for our PIXMA TS990 model that had ended its useful life. I chose it because it will print 11×17-inch photos in the brilliant colors that I’m used to with Canon. It was easy to install by following the startup guide, and I chose the USB connection rather than the wireless feature. Some reviews complained about having to open the control panel when initiating print jobs, but this is only a minor inconvenience since the control panel and paper output tray contracts into a flat attractive face when the printer will not be used for a while. Color photo print quality is excellent, and if this is what you’re looking for in an all-in-one printer then you should choose this model, since it is good quality for the money.

When I old printer wore old, I evalauted the top 3 printer vendors and chose the Canon TS 9520. It had every feature we need and then some.

I tried unsuccessfully to connect to my Apple desktop by usb with no success so had to connect wirelessly. It works but not as convenient for my use and after a power outage it had to be reset

In an effort to give this printer a proper workout, I have installed at my office. I’ve used for printing, scanning, and copying. This device is very easy to operate and functions and a high quality level. I would recommend to others.

I bought this printer because I was soooo very happy with my previous MG series Canon printer. I researched and was determined to buy a Canon. While the features of this TS9521C printer seem to meet most of my desires, the response time for the print time is terrible. I might get a recipe (with no photos even, just words) after waiting as much as 10 minutes. Sometimes I find that I have to delete and restart printing just to get a response from the printer. Right now, I’m waiting, waiting as the printer tells me it is printing the data. What is going on? How can Canon let me down like this? I just want a printer for photos, recipes, and was looking forward to using the scrapbooking features. I’m so disappointed. Please advise what to do. I purchased the warranty. Now I need help. I want my MG series back but it is too old and is no longer supported by Apple (my choice of devices) or Canon.

Extremely disappointed that this printer has an auto shut-off feature. It creates a problem when I am working as I have to stop my work, walk to the other side of the house, turn on the printer and be sure it is working when I need to print a document. It is a hassle running back and forth to get my work done. Had I known about this feature, I would not have bought this printer. It is not the right printer for those who work at home. It prints okay, nothing spectacular. Cannot recommend it.

I am now trying out the second one. The first one had a tendency to skew pages pulled through the ADF and sometimes you have to push down on the paper where it goes into the feeding slot or it won’t go in It does this on the second one also at times) but so far the second one hasn’t skewed the pages. It appears that the type of paper may have been a factor in the skewing problem but I was using high quality 24 lb paper. Printed text is reasonably sharp and web page prints look excellent. I haven’t tried printing a photo on photo paper yet but when a photo taken by a camera was printed, it was kind of washed out when printed on regular paper which I understand is normal. When connected to a Windows 10 computer, with the ECO setting on that allows the your computer to wake up the MFD, I keep getting USB disconnect sounds at intervals and it appears at exactly then, is when the keyboard character input is affected which causes incorrect keyboard operation. This is not very nice when you’re typing. Support wasn’t very helpful concerning this issue, in fact one person didn’t really seem to believe it could happen so I asked to speak to a Supervisor or Manager but that didn’t really do much good except I was eventually transferred to another Support person. Both MFD’s exhibit the USB issue. There is a slightly slanted horizontal line at the bottom of scanned pages using the ADF. Tech Support had me reinstall the drivers but that didn’t resolve the problem. The default Previews are very tiny, only around 1 1/4 inches square and clicking on them does not enlarge them. I tried changing a setting to automatically open Adobe Acrobat/Reader to Preview as a result of what a Support person told me but it didn’t work. Another Support person resolved the problem, as I recall. On the ScanGear window, the Preview button is missing, which was verified by Support. In order to print, the Control Panel has to be tilted out at approximately a 45 degree angle which I don’t think is very nice. It goes through ink rather quickly with the small capacity cartridges that come with the MFD but larger capacity ones are available. A nearby Walmart. So far, I believe I have spent at least approximately 5 3/4 hours on the phone trying to resolve issues with the MFD. Some Techs were not to good to deal with and wasted my time. I last spoke to an upper level Tech and he said they would send me another one and check it out first.

Using primarily for photograph printing. Am satisfied with results. When printing on copy paper, color portions of print are wet when they exit printer.

Seriously, do not even bother. The entire process of printing a single page takes up to five minutes. One. Page. After printing just a few black and white pages, the color cartridges are almost out. Wha?? I’m moving on from this one.

The printer worked great for the past 14 months. I have direct printed maybe 150 DVDs without problem along with a LOT of photo and document work. Last week a sheet of card stock got stuck and when I removed it something happened to the paper feeder. Sheets do not feed properly. Canon support was not able help. It was out of warranty so there’s no replacement.

This printer is ridiculously complicated to set up and use, the wireless feature was a pain in the behind to set up and then it only worked for a week or so. It was a dream while it lasted, but then it stopped working and we have to use the computer connection anyway. wont even take paper anymore

This is my 3rd Canon All-In-One Printer, but it will likely be my last. It is in my opinion incredibly cheaply constructed compared with my past printers. I have found jams comparatively easy to cause but relatively difficult to clear and have knocked parts loose or off, which needed to be put back. I have had lots of Canon products,I do not consider this one up to snuff. This is in no way a complaint directed toward B&H, who have always served me well.

I bought this printer a few weeks ago. It was very easy to setup and is working very well. Print quality is pretty good for an inkjet… serves my purposes of printing documents and some print graphic design testing. Would definitely recommend it for the price.

It scan really slow. Very heavy. Doesn’t scan two sided. I’d return it t if I’d kept the box.

First one arrived in great condition and took about an hour to fully set up. Then the test print page wouldn’t print… was on the phone with support for 30 minutes until they decided it was a manufacturing defect. Second printer arrived quickly and this one worked… for a few weeks. Now the wireless function doesn’t work (yes, I’ve rebooted, reinstalled, etc.) and all print jobs error off. No point having a printer if IT CAN’T PRINT. Plus the plastic is pretty flimsy and you have to ‘approve’ the paper size every single time you open the paper drawer. Annoying. Don’t buy this model.
