I love my new Canon TS9520 printer. Fast and quiet. Best 11×17 budget printer on the market Mike

I received the Canon PIXMA TS9520 printer as a free sample to review. This printer does just about everything. Its a scanner, copier, printer including a paper feed to print and a also a paper feed to scan multiple pages. The printer connected to my wifi and phone with ease. I printed a few pictures over wifi from my phone and the quality was great. The printer prints with speed, and is quiet. The touchscreen is adequately sized and bright, and feels sturdy while pressing “buttons”. Overall this printer is great. I highly recommend.

Works fine

It’s a great printer but I think the front door should go up and down on its own and not be done manually. I also think you shouldn’t have to go “turn on” the printer when it hasn’t been used in awhile. Other than those two things, it’s great!

Setting up the printer was really fast and easy. Print quality, especially for photos, is excellent.

I haven’t printed on it much yet, so maybe it’ll stop, but… a lot of the time when it’s printing, it sounds very loud. Like, sometimes inside the machine is jammed or ramming into the side loud. And somewhat screechy. When it isn’t making that sound, it sounds like a normal printer, but… why does it sometimes make that sound… I honestly can’t tell if it’s supposed to or not, it took roughly 7 minutes to print the single test page I printed, and I spent half that time wondering if it was broken due to this noise. Might change / update this review if the sound stops, or as I keep printing depending on quality. Thus far, the quality has been about even with any other printer, but I haven’t printed anything ~special~ yet.

I originally wanted the TS9521C as it can handle 12×12 and 11×17 paper, but it wasn’t in stock so I got the TS9520 instead. Turns out the features are exactly the same, just marketed to different groups. I haven’t done much yet, but so far the only issue I have relates to the inability to override print quality depending on paper type. I like to print samples in Draft mode first to get an idea of the output. The idea is to save ink. However, no matter what I did, I couldn’t update the settings. Paper sized 12×12 (even plain paper) could only be printed using High/Best quality. Same with cardstock as the paper type. Rather than prevent me from printing, it should ask if this is what I really want to do and still print according to the settings I specify.

What an amazing printer! It’s easy to program and the wireless WiFi/Blue tooth capability’s is great. I love the fact that I can send items to print remotely from my phone. Can we talk about the sleekness and compact design. I really couldn’t believe how little space the printer took up. If your looking for something that’s high tech and user friendly this is for you.

It’s lighter, and I don’t need Fax. The printing is more crisp. Yes, it works slightly differently because there are more options that I am still learning. So, read your instruction manual. All 500+ pages! (I am still reading.) And to the User Reviewers who ding the TS9520 because it prints S-L-O-W, read your instructions. To preserve print quality, this printer, in Duplex mode, holds the printed page for some 3 seconds before pulling it back to print the other side, to make sure the ink is dry. Pixma prioriotizes QUALITY over speed. If you don’t like that, buy a speedy printer that will jam papers and the print looks awful. I have not yet used all of its options. The Set-Up went easy and fast. Again, Read your instructions;;–you can download the manual from the Canon website. And by the way, it’s not only wireless. I have it hooked to my computer via an Ethernet cable. Works flawlessly. I still respect good old copper.

I was shocked regarding the speed of your delivery. FAST and less than 24 hours to my door. I’ve printed just a couple pages and a photo. Communication between the computer and printer seems slow. The quality is higher than expected tho.

So loving my new printer as a photographer and graphic designer I need a great printer. The Pixma TS9520 print is so far doing beautiful prints.

I like all the options with paper sizes and the quality of color printing is good. A few things I don’t like is: 1. It doesn’t stay on all day, after a while it will shut down and I have to physically get up to turn it back on -what a hassle, unless there is a way to do it from my computer and just haven’t figured it out. Please let me know if there is. 2. Its very slow for printing. I had a Kodak printer for over 10 years that I really liked, but just wore it out. It was much faster with printing and would stay ON and ready all day. 3. Saw this when reviewing printers for purchase, the most frequent complaint is how small the paper tray is. It holds only s small amount of paper. It also concerned me that this was a continual comment and worried me that you do not listen to customer feedback to improve your products.

I received a free sample product in exchange for a review. Overall, this is a really good printer. It is quiet and it is easy to use. Very good graphics and the clarity is top knotch. I think that the size of the printer is a bit small and replacing the ink cartridges could be a bit difficult. A nice product!

We’ve been a HP family for a long time and we’ve been happy with them. I hadn’t considered a Canon, but after I received a free sample of this Canon TS9520 for this review, I was impressed. Everything in our house runs on wireless so it’s great that this printer supports AirPrint, so I can have this printer in my office and everyone can print to it, even off a tablet or iPhone! It’s got an automatic document feeder, so it can do light copying while also doing 2 sided printing! The print quality is great, its fast, and it’s an easy set up. In the past we’ve had HP printers but we spend way too much on ink. I like that this printer has 5 individual ink cartridges which means that we only need replace the ink that runs out versus replacing one big cartridge. The print quality is great, its fast, and it’s an easy set up. Overall, I’m not sure how much volume it can take, but for my family, it’s a great printer to have in my home as a second printer or a nice backup! I’d highly recommend this Canon TS9520!

We’ve had this printer for a couple years now. We use it sparingly, but when we do it is usually critical. Every time we use it there is an issue. Either the printer is not connecting to the WIFI, the paper is not feeding, page is missing half of the printed text and often does not start to print until the half the page is fed. Always an issue. Extremely time consuming and thus frustrating.

Tried to use this as an all-in-one printer at home. The printing quality may be good, but trying to use it over Wi-Fi from a Mac (with AirPrint) is always a stress. You never know if it’s going to find the printer or work at all. Printing works maybe 50% of the time. Scanning works maybe 1% of the time. I eventually gave up and now there’s a long ugly USB cable going through my office.

Had to replace an older Pixma MX870 which I loved. The TS9520, even though more expensive, feels a lot flimsier, and makes all kinds of abnormal noises upon first turning on! Will have to get used to this. The main problem I encountered was that the front Operations Panel needs to be manually opened prior to printing! This is a real problem if you are sending remote print jobs to the printer. Wish I had known about this fine print from the owner’s manual prior to purchase. In comparison, my older Pixma printer opened the front panel automatically when it detected a print job. Here is the good part though, and the main reason I stuck to the Pixma series for a replacement printer: Print quality is outstanding. Set up was OK, not too complicated. The language in manual/setup guide could be easier, but really, if you have set up a printer with a wired or wireless connection before, this one is not too different. I set it up as a wired connection, and then set up windows, mac, and tablets to connect to it. Main reason to choose TS9520 over all the other Pixma variants was the ability for this printer to print up to 11×17 in size paper, and a document feeder for multiple page scans/copies/prints.

Adding a document feed tray to an affordable home printer is a BIG win for the consumer. I find the ink cartridges to be affordable and easy to change. Photo print quality is outstanding.

I received my printer, unpacked it, removed all orange tape, plugged the printer in, and received error code 6004 with first press of the power button. I unplugged it and plugged it in several times with no change. Not what I was hoping for.
