Effectively eliminating the need for stacks of ink cartridges, the PIXMA G5020 Wireless MegaTank Printer from Canon uses an integrated ink tank system that makes refilling much simpler and provides an astounding 6000 black or 7700 color prints on a single set of fresh ink bottles. Also, this model comes with a full set of inks as well as an extra pair of black ink bottles for getting another 12,000 black prints. The ink reservoirs are easy to see, having been placed at the front of the G5020 so that you can make sure you never run low.
For printing, the G5020 uses a reliable inkjet system with a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi that will deliver sharp text and vivid images. The system also works quickly, with rated speeds of 13 ipm in black and 6.8 ipm in color. Featuring a 250-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet rear paper tray, the printer is ready to take on your large print jobs. Users can also create borderless photos with ease and work with a variety of standard media sizes from 3.5 x 3.5″ to 8.5 x 14″. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity in addition to USB 2.0 furthers the potential for the printer by supporting various mobile printing protocols, including Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Mopria, and Canon’s own PRINT app.

Purchased this Canon PIXMA G5020 on a Sunday and it was delivered within 3 days. I previewed the ‘set-up’ booklet supplied with this printer and went ahead with the set up procedure. Was most happy when i first tried the printer and it went just fine. Would purchase another Canon product from B & H with full confidence !

My 7 year old Canon MG-7520 got fried in a power outage. I was hoping to replace it with the same model since I had a supply of ink for it, but the MG-7520 is no longer being made. I selected this model because it had the features I used (double side printing, borderless printing) from the old printer, and bulk ink has less of an environmental impact. I love the printer and the quality of printed photos is almost as good as the 7520 considering it is missing the gray and black dye ink. Unfortunately there are a couple of design issues with the printer. 1) the display is not backlit, is on the front of the printer and is impossible to see without a flashlight. 2) Borderless printing is NOT completely borderless. In any case I am satisfied with Wifi speed, printer setup, double side printing, overall results and the amount of included ink. The purchase via B&H was very easy, and shipping was faster than the 3 days predicted!

Best for print quality and ease of ink supply.

Very happy with this duplex printer. Duplex print is slow, but of very nice quality. I had originally thought I might upgrade later to color laser, but for my purposes, this is much less expensive and very nice. I have not had any jams so far, and have printed over 100+ pages. Feed from the back with card stock has worked well, and self aligns.

No matter how I tweak the settings for basic Letter size Matte photo paper, this machine will not print it. It will only look for paper in the main tray, which will not accept thick paper. I’ve even turned OFF the feature that says Detect Paper Mismatch which supposedly will make the machine ignore that you haven’t put in the exact paper it requires. Stupidly complicated. Then, when it gives you a fail message, there’s no way to exit and start again, you have to turn the whole printer off, which prompts it’s minutes long shut down procedure, before you can try again. It’ absolutely infuriating.

My canon Pixma G5020 Wireless MegaTank Printer came without the power cord and the C Print Head. I emailed B&H on Monday 4/18, only to find out that you are closed for the week for Passover. My bad luck in timing. So I am still without a usuable printer. !!

Great little printer, only complaint is the display is not illuminated which makes it very difficult to see.

I got this printer a few years ago, and it worked pretty fine for documents and graphics. But I don’t print often, and the ink nozzles clogged to the point where I can’t fix it without taking the whole unit apart. Also, unrelated, but you can’t easily replace the sponge that absorbs excess ink at the rear of the printer, and it will get full to the point where the whole unit fails. It’s a great printer if you print often, if you don’t, a laser is a better way to go unless you need to print photos. I wouldn’t recommend this unit without an extended warranty.
