Designed for small businesses, the imageCLASS LBP226DW Wireless Laser Printer from Canon gives you speedy performance and mobile printing solutions for your important office needs. This monochrome laser printer has a first printout time as fast as 5.3 seconds, and standard two-sided printing reduces paper consumption. Print speed is an impressive 40 ppm for letter-size pages, and the unit’s 600 x 600 dpi print resolution provides sharp text for professional-looking documents. The printer utilizes an all-in-one toner cartridge to reduce overall supply costs, and a combination of fusing technologies and low-melting-point toner minimizes power requirements and helps you achieve low-energy consumption. The LBP226DW offers USB and Ethernet connectivity, and the printer is mobile ready so you can create a Wi-Fi Direct hotspot from the printer and then use your mobile devices to directly print via Apple AirPrint, Canon PRINT Business, Mopria Print Service, and Google Cloud Print.

Canon laser printers are faster, crisper and easier to set up than HP printers. If you need crisp black and white performance for the home or small office, this is a great choice. The toner cartridges are expensive. But I think the performance and print output is worth the price here. I’ve left HP and I am firm on-board with Canon. This unit works wireless with my wife’s Mac and my Chromebook.

Extremely hard to set up. Instruction manual shows different screen that on the machine. Hired a pro to set it up and even he had to call Canon to find out how to do double sided printing on letter side. Even then it was just luck to get it done. The same way didn’t work on A5 size. Have to call Canon again. If we can fly drones on Mars, we should be able to have an easy way to have the computer recognize a printer without going through hundreds of different screens.

This is a very capable B&W printer. I am very happy with its performance, image quality and speed.

I have been a long time HP mono laser printer customer (over 30 years), but thought I’d give Canon a try now that HP makes it very difficult to purchase chipped generic cartridges. I am VERY impressed with this printer, which is the equal of any similarly priced HP. It’s a tad louder, but it prints text the same and pictures, better. While I connected the printer directly into my desktop with a USB cable, the wireless network printing works like a champ, too, with my laptops. The only annoying thing about this printer is the default 2-sided printing setting. But that’s easily remedied. A quick google search will show you how.

I have this printer configured on FreeBSD 13.0 (using LPD), Ubuntu 21.10 (using CUPS), Windows 10 and Mac OS 12.0.1. Print quality is excellent. The printing speed is fast. This model has 1GB internal memory.

We needed a fast first page printer. Laser printers require a warm up period which doesn’t work well for retail. With this laser printer you can configure the warm up cycle in two ways. Delay sleep mode by up to 2 hours is one. But what is best is you can program a wakup time and a sleep time. Always prints a page in rougly 6 seconds during business hours. Life is good! 🙂 B & H transaction was first rate. Product arrived very quickly. Thank you!
