Offered here in white, the PIXMA TR7020 Wireless Inkjet All-in-One Printer from Canon is a feature-rich printer designed for your home and work needs. Easy to set up and simple to use, the printer offers a bright 1.44" OLED display, which makes for clear and easy-to-read messages. Smartly designed for both wired and wireless functionality, the TR7020 lets you print from your smartphone or tablet quickly and easily using Apple AirPrint, Mopria Print Service, and the Canon PRINT App. Front and rear paper feeding allow you to load up to 200 sheets at a time, and a 35-sheet ADF enables you to copy and scan images quickly and efficiently. An 8.5 x 11.7" flatbed scanner lets you make high resolution scans up to 1200 x 2400 dpi, and when using the ADF you can scan legal-size documents up to 8.5 x 14". Black copy speeds are a fast 11.8 ipm and color copy speeds are 4.7 ipm. Additional copy features include two-sided copying, auto exposure copy, document copy, document removal reminder, fit-to-page, photo copy, and reduction/enlargement.

I have been using this for over a week and it is a great all in one printer at an affordable price point. This does not come with a manual but when you set up the printer you can send a digital copy to the computer you are linking it to. The vague instructions it comes with do not tell you that you have to link it first to your WIFI before it will connect to your computer or iPad. There are only two ink cartridges. One for black and one for all color. The replacement costs seem like a good value for ink compared to my former Canon printers. If you are using this with your phone, computer or iPad you will need to download the Canon Print App to each device for ease of use and the capability to use all the features of this printer. Hopefully it lasts as long as my last Canon printer (over 10 years) that I just had to recycle because my operating system would no longer support it.

So you get the nice test page and then you try to connect it wireless. No matter how many times you type in the MAC address or run the installation software, it doesn’t connect. And here is no error msg to explain why. If you look on the printer it says look at the error msg on the computer. There IS NO Error Msg on the computer. So you buy a cable, only to find that the printer port on the printer is so misshapen you cant plug the cable into it. Did Canon ship a defective device? – Avoid, Avoid, Avoid…

As the caption says, the copier was easy to set up, makes good prints, scans well, but it is complicated to scan into PDFs. TIFFs, JPEGs and other formats are simpler.

I purchased this to serve as a home/part-time office printer for multiple devices: computers and iPads. Connecting via wifi was the default – no usb cables included with this printer. Wifi proved unreliable for my main desktop computer (printing never completed – spinning wheels.) It took some looking online to find out how to set-up with usb connection and fortunately I had extra cables to complete. Since then, no connection issues. The other household devices have worked fine using wifi/Apple AirPrint and no need for separate set-up. Print quality is good and print speed is good for low volume use. All of the manuals are online which is not my preference but I have been able to find what I needed. A bonus is double-sided printing which has worked without a hitch. Good value and quality at this price point. Fingers crossed for years of good service.

Everything works. Easy to get it installed and going. Pleasant surprises such as printing on both sides of the paper. The little light show where the printed paper comes out. Great little printer for my 90 year old momma. She’s lovin’ it, too!!
