I rated this product in March of 2011 just to let others know how good this ink was, albeit being short lived and expensive. I will never complain about the high cost of ink for the rest of my life. 8 weeks after I wrote this little review, I was contacted by a major online marketing company, and a short time later I was the proud recipient of a National grand prize of $1,000. They were using a prize gimmick to get more people to write reviews. It was the first time I ever won anything, and it was for the little package of grey ink. Thank You B@H, and Canon. Canon inks, printer and paper make a winning combination. I print almost exclusively food and fresh vegetable photos where color is critical, and the Canon combo(ink, printer, paper) is really good!

As mentioned in an earlier, the 100 Black Cartridge by Canon lasts longer. Averaging about 10 documentes per week, I’ve gone about 9 monts without replacing it. The printed documents are clear, deep color, and no smears. The model is the MG 8120 which is a very productive and easy-to-use printer.

I bought a Canon MG6120 printer two years ago and really like the print quality of my photos but I’m finding it to be awfully expensive to continue feeding this ink-hungry beast. I’ve bought ink sets from B&H before and like usual I haven’t had any trouble with their service. My main concern/issue is with Canon not including the heavily used Gray cartridge in the ink sets. The 50 sheets of 4×6 papers is nice but I would prefer to have the Gray ink included. I would recommend product to a friend only if they are already aware of the short ink cartridge lifespan. I will be reactivating my old HP printer to handle daily printing needs that don’t require color nor high resolution.

I use CLI-225/226 inks on my two Canon printers for my photo printout. My major concern is reproducing rich monochrome printing. CLI-225/226 inks are very good for monochrome reproduction on Canon papers and CANSON rag papers, with slight adjustment of BLUE on color balance adjustment (in RGB mode)
