With a soft luster finish, this Photo Paper Pro Luster from Canon, available here as a 50-pack of 8.5 x 11″ sheets, will provide a slightly textured surface that resists both glare and fingerprints while offering great color saturation and contrast. The paper also benefits from a moderate basis weight of 255 gsm and a thickness of 10.2 mil, as well as a brightness of 92%.

This paper has great reproduction detail without the distracting glare of a full-gloss sheet. I use it for all my art prints that are going to be framed with glass without worrying about the paper finger-printing on the glass.

I am an avid photographer and find there is less confusion using the Canon papers. I have read about the other papers and viewed them on YouTube. However, this system takes away the myriad of papers on the market. The Pro 1000 does have the profiles of theseother papers readily available, however, I do like the ease of using the Canon papers. The papers and inks of Canon preserve the prints for longer than most of us will possibly live. Which means the photos may be passed on to the next 1 or 2 generations. TW

I’ve tried most of the Canon Photo Papers for my Pixma printer and have finally settled on this. I think it gives the best quality and sheen for my wildlife photos. it took a little to get Lightroom CC Classic dialed in for brightness and color. But once this was done, it’s stable and I’m extremely happy with the results.

Ive been using this paper for four years now, making limited edition prints for sale, and so far it has been fine. The ink from my Canon PRO-100 printer seems to dry quickly on the surface (never had any smudge – although I am careful not to stack freshly printed images). No sign of any fading or discolouration in any of my images. Not cheap but very good value if you can get it on sale.

I use Canon PRO-100 printer, so using a genuine Canon paper is a no brainer, especially with their ICC profiles already coming with the Canon driver for this printer/paper combination – you will find it in the driver as a profile called …Canon [LU] 1/2 …., or something similar. I like the sheen, prefer its looks over Canon’s Semi-Gloss paper. Prints are beautiful coming off my PRO-100. I use 4×6, this 8.5×11 and then large 13×19 of this kind and especially the large format brings out absolutely stunning prints (I do mostly monochrome).

This is a nice heavy weight paper. It works very well with the Canon Pixma pro-100, and I would assume that it will work better with the Pixma Pro-10. It has a ‘Luster’ finish which for the most part removes the tendency that high gloss paper has in reflecting light off the surface. If black and white is your area of interest, try the mat finished paper.

Produces high quality B&W and color prints with my Canon PIXMA Pro-100. Note however that this is a resin coated paper, so you may want to use a higher quality paper (e.g. a Baryta FineArt paper) for more professional prints or reproductions.
