With a soft luster finish, this Photo Paper Pro Luster from Canon, available here as a 50-pack of 8.5 x 11″ sheets, will provide a slightly textured surface that resists both glare and fingerprints while offering great color saturation and contrast. The paper also benefits from a moderate basis weight of 255 gsm and a thickness of 10.2 mil, as well as a brightness of 92%.

If you need photo paper with a luster finish, this would be a great choice. I use it with a Canon Pixma Pro 200 and it works very well. It doesn’t have the shine of glossy paper, but does reflect a bit more light than a matte finish. It doesn’t show any fingerprints.

This is an excellent all around paper. I use it to make a first print so I can see it printed large, judge the quality of the photo, and adjust printing all for reasonable cost. When I’m happy with the result and if I want to print a photo to sell, I’ll print on something better. If I just want to give a print away this is a good choice of paper.

What I love about this photo paper is that it’s not actually paper weight. It is thick, like you get with manually processed film photos. And luster is the perfect name for it–it’s shiny, so it catches the light well, but it’s not matte. It also doesn’t have the glare of glossy photos, and doesn’t catch fingerprints like glossy photos do. The large 13×19 size is perfect for printing out 12×12 scrapbook pages, or wall art prints!

Use for photos only. Colors pop with perfect contrast. No room for improvement, perfect! I got mine while on sale other than that would be on the pricey side. Should be durable but can’t judge as I just started using it but the thickness and weight just feel to be high quality and durable.

While this paper doesn’t have the ‘feel’ of some of the more expensive heavyweight fiber papers, it has the look of a very expensive paper. I took a chance on this paper after always using Ilford and Canson papers and I now use this paper 90% of the time. The only paper I like better is traditional darkroom fiber paper, but there isn’t an inkjet paper around that can yet compete with that. My color AND black and white prints really pop with this paper without having any sense of a glossy plastic look/feel.
