With a soft luster finish, this Photo Paper Pro Luster from Canon, available here as a 50-pack of 8.5 x 11″ sheets, will provide a slightly textured surface that resists both glare and fingerprints while offering great color saturation and contrast. The paper also benefits from a moderate basis weight of 255 gsm and a thickness of 10.2 mil, as well as a brightness of 92%.

I’ve been switching back and forth between this and the equivalent quality semi-gloss photo paper. I settled on this paper as i like it best. as recommended, i give it a full 24 hours to set, but i’m sure that’s overly cautious. I enjoy seeing the prints and getting them off the computer screen.

It’s surprising how good this paper is. Maybe not for fine art, but for everyday prints or test prints this is great and economical. This has a smooth finish and excellent DMAX, snappy whites, and just the right surface reflection. Works well in Epson printers too…and is much cheaper. Colors look outstanding. After using Epson Luster for years this is my new go-to paper for my students! Basically, equivalent to the Epson Luster but with less texture. Oh yes–it absorbs much less ink than a matte paper, so if that’s a consideration, use this!

I use it for a print contest in our local camera club on a13x19 printer. It does not produce a glossy finish so glare is greatly reduced. It gives a high quality pleasant finish. I will use it consistenly now.

This is affordable and a nice bright paper, very good for everyday photo prints. If sprayed, the paper becomes very suitable for direct handling also. It does feel a bit plastic-like, though, as opposed to matter papers or rag papers.

The paper itself is very good in my opinion. I really like the results with my Pro-10. On the other hand, the paper arrived a bit damaged (a few sheets are blended in the corner) because it was not well package and the paper box was opened due the carrier handling apparently. I won’t take the risk anymore ordering this online. For this particular case, BH did not a good job protecting the box contents.
