I have used some of the top rated (by professionals) photo papers and then compared the results to the Canon paper. From my perspective I really could not see any differences between the two and given that I am using a Canon printer this paper is probably the best choice. The matte finish reduces any glare and the colors are what I expected. Good paper and at a reasonable price.

Make it seem like the kind of pictures you used to get from the photo store except for bigger

Great all around paper.

I use this in letter and 13 x 19 size for everyday prints. Excellent budget priced paper. Just superb results for the $$. The ink jet printers you buy for a few hundred dollars produce prints that equal or best the finest Eastman dye transfer prints. The ink jet printer companies slipped up on their names. They should have called them ‘machine made dye transfer prints’ or Canon dye transfer prints, Epson dye transfer prints, etc. not ink jet prints. ……….

A few months ago I did a comparison with a number of luster (e surface papers). The canon Pro Luster is often on sale and is a regular performer. Using an Epson Stylus pro 4900, I prefer this Canon paper to Epson’s Ultra Premium Luster. For important work, I might prefer a heavier weight or baryta base paper or something like Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl. Still -the Canon luster usually sits happily in my paper tray waiting to start proofing my next print assignment. FYI – Since neither canon nor Epson would profile this paper for an Epson printer, I find thet Ilford’s profiles for similar luster papers are spot on.

I’m a professional Bald Eagle Photographer and I print about 50 photos each month to sell and donate to Veteran Charities and I can tell you that this paper is simply the best! The colors pop, it never smudges and dries extremely fast!

The Epson equivalent paper is more than twice as expensive, but I achieved excellent results the very first time printing a near poster sized beautiful early dawn shot of the Port of Miami and skyline. Using an Epson WF7620 printer I experienced no smears runs or other quality issues, the ink dried nearly instantly and frankly I couldn’t be happier. I recommend this large format paper for photo quality printing without hesitation.

I bought this paper to use with my Canon PIXMA 100. And, no surprise, you get an outstanding result. I’m not sure about this, but I think the printer recognizes this paper, because all of my print settings had changed to reflect this paper’s specs. The images are really nice. You won’t go wrong with any printer, I’m sure. But it will look best with Canon. I’m staying with it.

Excellent paper, just needs to be a bit heavier. It produces excellent color and detail with the Pixma Pro-1 I use.

Yeah sure many love the exotic papers but in the end for my professional work the Luster provides me the best sharpness, color and detail results. It last forever too which is nice. No grief matching it in profile as well.

This paper is very comparable to Fuji Crystal Archive or Kodak Endura. It’s heavy paper, a little heavier than the Fuji and Kodak. I use this to make borderless 11×14 prints by offsetting it exactly 4.25 inches then I trim off the white strip across the top which gives me Two 4.25×6.5 pieces that I use for printing my 4×6 prints.

I’ve tried this paper and also the matte paper for my Canon Pro 100. The matte paper I’m completely unhappy with but the results I get from the Luster are amazing. B & H also has a really excellent price compared to their competitors on this particular paper. Thanks B & H!!!!
