With a soft luster finish, this Photo Paper Pro Luster from Canon, available here as a 25-pack of 17 x 22″ sheets, will provide a slightly textured surface that resists both glare and fingerprints while offering great color saturation and contrast. Awesome photo paper. Have used this for printing portraits with the Canon Pixma Pro-100 photo printer. So far, all images have been printed with the high-quality setting. The paper has a subtle, gentle glow that is very pleasing, and is very compatible with close-ups of people. The ink dries very quickly. Make sure you print on the correct side of the paper! I printed one image on the back by accident, and ended up with a Dali-esque portrait that took days to dry.

I use a Canon Pro 100 with genuine Canon inks. This paper is my go to paper for customer prints and very my personal work. It has the traditional look from the days when people actually had prints of their photographs versus viewing them on their iPhones. It works well for both color and black and white photographs. The paper has a great feel and weight and is a bright white which provides accurate color renditions.

This is great for color photos. I have used before but there was damage to paper in shipping. After reading reviews I ordered from B &H. They packaged my paper in a large box and protected it with bubble wrap. I will order from them again!

I can now match that I a professional lab in the convenience of my own home. The paper is great for frames; has just the right about of sheen to give it the pro photo look without the reflection issues when the sun hits it. The paper comes out dry from the printer and the thickness is good. I get compliments when people see my prints and its allowed much more of my photos see the light of day. :). I know my mother-in-law appreciates that as does my wife. Also I bought the 8.5×11 because it allows you to fit more photos than the 8x10s (and I believe this is cheaper than the 8x10s). The only inconvenience is having to cut down to 8x10s but for custom sizes; you should own the tools to do so anyways.

There are many nice Luster papers out there but the sample pack of the Pro Luster included with my Pro-100 Printer blew me away. The results in both color and b/w were surprisingly outstanding. Lab quality. Like it better than the Semi-Gloss which also came with the printer – especially for b/w. On sale, it’s a no brainer. Though Epson’s Exhibition Fiber remains my absolute go to for portrait work, Canon’s Pro Luster is superb for just about everything.
