With a soft luster finish, this Photo Paper Pro Luster from Canon, available here as a 25-pack of 17 x 22″ sheets, will provide a slightly textured surface that resists both glare and fingerprints while offering great color saturation and contrast. The paper also benefits from a moderate basis weight of 255 gsm and a thickness of 10.2 mil, as well as a brightness of 92%.

This paper is everything you would expect from Canon. I printed out an 8×10 on my Canon Pixma Pro 100 and ordered the same 8×10 from a popular online printer and gave them both to my client and asked them to pick out the best one. The picked the one I printed saying the paper was thicker and the colors were brighter. I’ve been printing my own ever since and have had no complaints.

I love the Luster, it has a great look to it, moreso than the glossy or semi-gloss. Plus the size is awesome for getting some great photos with good detail. It is a bit pricey, compared to off-brand papers, but I doubt you’ll get the quality and the look of the luster off-brand.

Never used luster before, but after trying it, I am very pleased and satisfied with it’s performance. Wow, very rich detail and color without any glare yet it has a certain sheen, almost a 3D look giving lots of depth to any photo. Highly recommended.

This is a great looking print paper. the luster is a nice mid point between a high gloss and a Matt finish on the prints. I got this package of paper as a promotion when buying a Canon Pro-100 printer. I also received a package of the 8.5 x 11 of the Luster paper in with the printer. I was able to print a border-less 13 x 19 print. There wasn’t really any con’s on this paper. I will be buying more in the future.

I got this for free bundled with my Canon Pro-100 Printer. So far, I’ve only used one sheet as a test as I won’t be need to print anything close to 13 x 19 until later this year. But, the test I did turned out very well. The color was vibrant and accurate (that’s important!). The detail was crisp and sharp. The Luster was a nice sheen and not too glossy, which I hate. Since it’s Canon’s own paper, their profiles were already set up and I didn’t have to do any extra work. Just make sure you select the proper profile when printing!
