I am new to printing and sticking to Canon paper and inks if at all possible. This paper came with the printer as a package. It is sharp, rich and wonderful for possibly portraits but I dont care for the finish for fine art or landscapes. It is not a smooth surface but more of a finish you might consider for prints that will be handled. I may purchase a sample of paper or do some research before I buy more paper.

I find this paper to be very close to Canon’s Photo Paper Pro Semi-Gloss. Looking at two printings of the same image, one on this Luster and the other on Canon Semi-Gloss, it is really difficult to notice which one is which. The differences are there, but they are subtle and will likely not be noticeable without careful scrutiny. IMHO, hanging in a frame, 99% of people will not note any differences between the papers whatsoever. The back of the paper is where you can easily tell because the Semi-Gloss has the Canon logo all over it, while the Luster has nothing printed on the back.

Fabulous semi-gloss finish for photos from my Canon Pro9500.

You can’t beat a free in America! I got this as a bonus to buying the canon pro 100. It is nizzzzze, as in nizzze

Love the texture and weight of paper. Makes it perfect for gallery and archival. Portraits come to life with it.

Produces high quality B&W and color prints with my Canon PIXMA Pro-100. Note however that this is a resin coated paper, so you may want to use a higher quality paper (e.g. a Baryta FineArt paper) for more professional prints or reproductions.

Make it seem like the kind of pictures you used to get from the photo store except for bigger

Great paper. Was not sure how I was going to like this when it came with the printer a few years ago, but I have re-ordered this when the first batch ran out. Super results. Pro look and feel. I generally use gloss paper only for B&W, but this is my first choice for color prints. B&H best price and fast delivery. Thanks. Recommended.

I have been a professional photographer for 18 years, and before that a hobbyist with a camera. In all those years I used various matte and glossy papers and like them all. Recently, I bought a new photo printer and a sample of this paper was included. I love it and now use it almost exclusively. The depth of color, sharpness, luminance and everything I want from a photo print is present to the 9s.

This paper is not as good as what I’ve been using for years. I ordered Canon paper this time because I use a Canon printer along with Canon ink. This paper is not as thick nor does the ink dry on this paper as fast.

The brightness and thickness of the paper is prefect.

If your doing your own home printing, this is the paper to buy…I was blown away with the quality of the print from the first photo…Just make sure your edit is how you want the print to look because that is what you will get using this paper…Really like the subtle luster look to the prints…If you think its pricey, wait for it to go on sale which I have seen Canon do often…Great paper…

This is my go-to paper for general photo printing — even in sizes up to 13-19″. The paper is neither matte nor glossy, and has just the right amount of texture for my taste. It is also a reasonable thickness. I print on the Canon Pro 100 and am very pleased with results.

I use this with the Canon PIXMA PRO-100 and print using the proper canon color profile. I’ve printed over a dozen prints that now reside in frames throughout the house for our guests to see and I’ve printed out various sized prints for events and I always get the question, you printed that? The prints come out dry and the 13×19 size is convenient for printing custom sizes unobtainable by typical 8.5×11 paper. For example, I have a 14 wide frame and the 13×19 paper made it possible to print this custom size with room to print out a couple of 4x6s. Only downside I’ve noticed so far is my prints come out slightly darker then the screen representation. I do calibrate my monitor but I my brightness up higher on my MacBook Pro 15 (matte screen) then the calibration tool recommends so the brightness does affect the difference in print. I simply learned to really trust my histogram

This is affordable and a nice bright paper, very good for everyday photo prints. If sprayed, the paper becomes very suitable for direct handling also. It does feel a bit plastic-like, though, as opposed to matter papers or rag papers.
