Always keep spare ink at home. Don’t you hate it when you run out and you have to go out and buy it or order it online. These packs solve the problem and Canon is the best.

I print fine art images on a variety of standard and museum quality paper. Over the years I have tried a dozen different printers, and dozens of different papers. Every element in the image chain is important. Especially the paper selection and the original manufacturer’s ink. I get dazzling results from the CLI-42 8 color ink tanks from Canon paired with the Pixma Pro-100 printer. I do not need the world’s fastest printer, but I do insist on the highest quality results. Also be sure to properly color calibrate your monitors to insure print fidelity. Yes, it is expensive (although prices have gone down since my last purchase), but the results justify every single penny. I highly recommend both the Pixma Pro-100 printer and the CLI-42 ink.

The Combination of Canon ink with their PRO 100 printer makes for superb prints. It’s just a lot of money for a little ink.

The inks work great in my new Canon Pro-100 printer, even though the yellow looked brown compared to all the other Canon yellow I have used in the past. The tanks are shrink-wrapped in tough plastic. A tear strip is supposed to offer quick entry AND vent opening at the same time, but it did not work very well. Two of the strips tore loose without opening the vent, and most required a pocket knife to finish freeing the tanks. The vent is important: About a half inch of the tape is supposed to tear off the top of the tank, uncovering the vent hole. These tanks fit only one printer — the Pro-100, so I worry about future availability.

Love the ink for my printer! Colors are awesome!

The Pixma Pro-100 and its ChromaLife100 ink (CLI-42) produce great looking images. I use almost exclusively Canson Infinity fine art papers (mat finish). The detail and color depth and quality are excellent. There are however two draw backs. 1) ink cost. It is definitely not the cheapest printer to operate. These are small cartridges and if you are printing full sized 19×13 prints in any significant volume, you will need to plan on keeping spares on hand. 2) It is a dye-based ink versus the pigment-based ink of its higher end cousins. Dye inks are not truly archival grade inks, like the pigment inks of the Pro-1, Pro-10, and Pro-1000

I looked at purchasing ink cartridges for my Canon Pixma Pro-100 from other vendors. But went back to B&H. No other vendor makes it so easy and the shipment arrived very quickly.

Ink. Can’t live without it, can’t really get it at a discount since Canon controls the pricing. But delivery is quick and I like B&H.

I needed replacement ink for my Cannon Pixma Printer. This is exactly what I needed.

I purchase this ink with all colors at once for my printing of photography. colors are true and do not dry out as rapidly as others. (At time I have gone 8 months between printing with no problems)

This ink has gorgeous replication on printed pieces and is so easy to use with the Canon Pro printer. Would highly recommend!

Canon inks consistently deliver fine results. Never have had a problem with these cartridges.

You won’t get color consistency with 3rd Party ink. Canon’s inks are accurate and consistent.

My last order from B&H contained 8 various CLI 42 cartridges for an upcoming job consisting of 200 5X7 prints. That’s a fairly large investment it ink because Canon inks are expensive. However, I have always use Canon inks in my Canon PRO-100 printer and this last job, once again, proved to me why; 200 prints and the combination of Canon printer, Canon paper, and Canon inks never missed a beat. And I might add, neither does B&H. Been doing business with them for years and I have no complaints.

Color great; ease of use fine. Cost too high, but that is the deal: printer inexpensive, ink very expensive.
