   sure Canon sells the printer very low in price but you quickly pay for that in very expensive inks to make up their printer costs. equal to the price of gold in weight they say.

   Love the print quality I get no matter the paper type or size from my PIXMA Pro-100. The grey ink, like the rest of the set, produces beautiful images that are impressive. I always get genuine Canon ink for my printer and B&H makes it easy to keep stocked up when I need a replacement.

   Our office upgraded to a Canon PIXMA Pro-100 in the beginning of January, 2015. On a weekly-basis, we print hundreds of high-resolution photographs, fliers, and brochures on Canon Premium matte photo paper. We will often print 250 or more photos in a single non-stop run. The CLI-42 Ink tanks are precision-engineered and they fit perfectly into the print head every time, so we never have issues with smudging due to the print head being micrometers off (which can be a BIG issue when you are printing on heavy-stock, thicker art papers like we do). These cartridges are expensive, yes, but they are MADE IN JAPAN. If you demand the reliability of an OEM cartridge, then you might as well be buying the ones created in a place that is known and celebrated for its high-level of manufacturing standards.

   I have not needed to use these inks yet, but I am very satisfied with the cartridges that came with my new pixma pro-100. I have printed at least 50-60 4 x 6 prints and a few 8 1/2 x 11’s (beautiful). The gauge still shows them as all full except the grey that shows about 1/4 down.

    These cartridges produce fine results, though are something other than inexpensive. Have been very satisfied with the results on 4 x 6 paper to 13 x 19 paper and everything in between.

    I have been using a Canon printer now for about 10 years and enjoying the quality prints that it produces. Being able to trust Canon inks for consistent results has been a big part of that satisfaction. I recommend using brand name products for your personal equipment to obtain the highest results.
