   I use only canon inks for my Pixma Pro-100 and keep the gray, light gray and black backed up at all times.

   The colors are rich and the tones are well-modulated, producing beautiful prints. As a first time user it took me a bit to install the ink tanks correctly. A clearer diagram in the instructions would have helped.

   I have not had to replace any cartridges yet, but I am guessing that these Canon ink cartridges are the same quality as I’m getting with the ones that came with the printer. I bought the 8-pack along with the printer because I don’t yet know which colors will get used fastest.

   The Canon CLI-42 Eight-Color Ink Tank Pack is the ink replacement to get when buying replacement ink. The cost is high but the user will experience far fewer problems with usage.
