I recently purchased the Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer from B&H. I like to keep a spare set of cartridges on hand to ensure that I’m not caught short. B&H is the only place to buy this product as far as I’m concerned. The price is better than the competition and I always receive my product before the estimated delivery date. I have been dealing with B&H for more years than I care to remember, beginning with phone orders in the late 60’s. I have since migrated to using the internet to place my orders. I can truthfully say that in all of those years and all of those orders, I have never been disappointed with either the product or the service. Thank you B&H.

Let begin by saying that I am not a professional photographer. At best, I can be described as a semi-advanced hobbyist. My main camera is a Nikon D7100 and my favorite lenses are an old Nikon 50 mm f/1.8 a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR, and one of Tamron’s relatively new 150-600mm with their version of VR. I use the 8 color ink pack in a Canon Pro-100 printer and couldn’t be happier. I’ve tried the cheap brands and have ended up throwing each and every one of them away. They either don’t work at all, the colors bleed, or the colors are so far off that they border on the absurd. With Canon ink, you get exactly what you want. Precise colors, well delivered onto the paper with clean lines. I may not be a pro shooter but I will admit to having an excellent eye for color. I have used this ink in prints all of the way up to 12×18 and have been very pleased with the results. In fact, I gave one of my large prints to my sister in law who is the Associate Curator for Acquisitions at a national art gallery. Way back in the film days, she was the top developer for a nationally renowned wildlife photographer. So she has a very keen eye. She has been quite impressed with the coloration on many of the prints that I have made with this ink. In fact, she has a few of my shots hanging in her and my brother’s home. Much of my work is of wildlife, landscapes, and florals where color is everything. Also, the ink tanks last far longer than I ever expected them too. Finally, I this ink works this well for this admittedly amateurish shooter, just imagine what it can do for you.

Excellent resolution with reasonable price.

This ink comes out really well, not stripey, and has beautiful, rich color. I used it for a final project and I was really pleased with the final result. For design projects, having the right color is incredibly important, and this product helped me translate my ideas to the page flawlessly. It’s also very easy to tell which cartridges need to be replaced and how to replace them – easy to follow instructions for sure. It’s an expensive product, but for a good reason.

I tried off brand ink for my Canon Pro 100 and the results were poor. I went back to Canon ink to improve printing quality.

Very good inks.

This was the first set of replacement ink tanks I’ve ordered fro my Pro-100. They seem to last very well. As usual service from B&H was top notch.

Ink is expensive but the value of the representation of your work product is priceless. The PIXMA PRO-100 Printer is the best professional printer I’ve ever owned and use it for all my print work. The interface shows you each individual color cartridge levels as well as warning which particular one is running low. You can replace that specific color which gives you heads-up of which one to buy instead of buying a full set, a cost discretion directive. I don’t print high volume, so I can’t attest to the cartridge mileage but I havent had any complaints and it’s an expected expense for any printer. I never looked into refilling nor aftermarket, if available at all, let alone tamper with the functionality of my printer. Each cartridge is very well packed (a bit much to dispose of) and ready to easily install into its specific slot. Have not seen any bleeding (I think print quality is sharp, near perfect) nor any fading of prints in normal room display conditions. Ink dries very quickly (I leave fresh prints undisturbed dust-free) over a day just to be safe before handling or mounting. I appreciate B+H almost always have all colors in stock with quick shipping or pick-up in emergency. It prints normal text document excellent even in quick draft mode (I think to save ink on non-critical printing and still prints great). As well as a precaution, I dont mind using it for occasional text documents just to keep nozzles clear of dried ink but it doesn’t seem necessary for I haven’t experienced any errors from non-use. This is the ink made for your printer, it produces great results. You get what you pay for. It’s more cost effective to do something right the first time. *(This is no directive, I’ve evaluated for what worked from my experience, your needs and results may differ. Engage at your own risk.)

Precisely what HP required for their printer.

You won’t get color consistency with 3rd Party ink. Canon’s inks are accurate and consistent.

Puts out accurate color, reasonably priced, and lasts through many prints

You are there, the products are there – you’re my #1 source to go to. Thank you for caring for us out here!

Pricey; but, knew that going in. Cheaper than pigment inks, and friendlier to less frequent use (won’t clog lines or print head). Check back in a 100 years, re that advertised longevity.

The Pixma Pro-100 and its ChromaLife100 ink (CLI-42) produce great looking images. I use almost exclusively Canson Infinity fine art papers (mat finish). The detail and color depth and quality are excellent. There are however two draw backs. 1) ink cost. It is definitely not the cheapest printer to operate. These are small cartridges and if you are printing full sized 19×13 prints in any significant volume, you will need to plan on keeping spares on hand. 2) It is a dye-based ink versus the pigment-based ink of its higher end cousins. Dye inks are not truly archival grade inks, like the pigment inks of the Pro-1, Pro-10, and Pro-1000

By using only Canon ink, my Pro-100 is always ready to print with minimum lose of ink due to cleaning. I don’t use this printer everyday. Sometimes it sits for a week between uses. I have had bad luck with off brand ink in other of my printers; so I stick to Canon ink only

my Canon inks all run out at a similar rate so I don’t accumulate too many of one color while running out of another, making this pack very convenient for restocking my printer ink. Also, the clear ink tank confirms that the printer uses up all of the ink before requiring a new cartridge. Yes, they are small and expensive, but you get efficiency and consistency with Canon brand ink.
