In order to keep consistent with the warrantee requirements for the printer it was beneficial to purchase replacement ink cartridges from the manufacturer.

I’m happy as long as these cartridges are still available so i can use my Pixma Pro-100. they’re a bit expensive, but i like the printer and the inks that go with it. they never seem to clog and the colors are great.

No choice if you want to ensure quality and long print life. But, it’s expensive. Refilling is a hassle and there is no guarantee of quality (or that you won’t damage the printer). So, I went for the OEM ink.

My Canon PRO 100 has indicators showing ink low or empty, and I always like to have an extra box of the 8-colour ink tanks ready. Great ink costs more that I know but I still shop around. I am from Ontario, Canada and twice I have to do ‘cross-border’ shopping in NYC. Six months later the ink is still great and individual ink tank cuts down on wastage.

Canon ink is the only choice to use to maintain consistent color for reprinting images. I use only Canon ink in my pro 100 printer and the quality is amazing.

Canon CLI-42 inks work as expected – No clogs, good color, good fade resistance. There is the OE ink cost, of course, but B&H has a good price on the 8-catridge set. No complaints, works as advertised, what more can one expect? 5 stars.

As usual with Canon products, quality is high but so is the cost. Ink in my Canon printers appears to have a short life, at least buying a pack of inks saves a bit compared to buying each color. A mystery — why does light grey disappear much sooner than the others?
