   30 years ago I worked in a secret R&D lab with darkrooms and HeNe lasers! We were developing color laser printers back in the ’80’s and pigment/toner based inks were the archival standard then and now, BUT Canon’s latest dye-based inks are truly so excellent that they are for me realistically the best option without the extra hassle of pigments. Yes, I get hosed why i buy more, but the canon picoliter technology helps. Printheads are fickle, but I have no corona wire or charge issues. the Pro-100 is a beast, get it on a flash sale and it is unbeatable.

   No store near where I live sells these particular color ink tanks, so it was important to find a place online that could supply my needs. Plus, buying the ink pack saves money over buying individual ink tanks. The colors are accurate, which prevents me from having to make several prints to get it right.

   Is it super expensive per photo printed? Yes, yes it is, but the image quality with this ink can’t be matched by any third party ink in my Pixma pro 100 printer. I am extremely happy with my 13x19inch print results.

    This was the first set of replacement ink tanks I’ve ordered fro my Pro-100. They seem to last very well. As usual service from B&H was top notch.

    I had an Epson for years. It finally quit. I had mega issues with color balance, density et al. I got a Canon Pro-100 as a freebie when I bought my then new 5DMark II. OMG, what a difference. I often get the first print right, or so close there’s only a minor detail to change. I just keep buying Canon inks to feed my printer.
