I have tried non-OEM inks from various vendors in attempt to save money on ink. For this Pixma Pro-100 printer, the Canon inks are the only ink that gives me the performance, color, resolution that I want. The cost difference in going with CLI-42 ink is worth the difference in cost. If you want dependable quality and avoid issues, spend the difference and go with the OEM inks.

I don’t know why Canon and other manufaturers don’t make larger tanks for black and yellow! And machines to take them! I have a Canon Pro 100 and these inks really do the business. It’s been years since I have used anything but individual inks, as there is so much waste in a single tank with multiple colours. These Canon inks are fabulous, and there’s little to no fade that I can see. I have prints framed in my home and studio, in sunny places and they look as good as they did when I first hung them. And I like getting them from B&H!

Been using Canon Pro100 for several years. Good prints, reasonable ink costs. On the plus side, I have let my machine sit unused for well over a year and it started right up without excessive cleaning. A lot goes into accurate color and archival performance. I choose to stick with the OEM product.

I like the fact Canon put time into making an ink that is effectively Archival. It is well suitable for art photography prints. And seperate color cartridges are more cost effective and efficient than one cartridge with all the colors in the one cartridge
