Let begin by saying that I am not a professional photographer. At best, I can be described as a semi-advanced hobbyist. My main camera is a Nikon D7100 and my favorite lenses are an old Nikon 50 mm f/1.8 a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR, and one of Tamron’s relatively new 150-600mm with their version of VR. I use the 8 color ink pack in a Canon Pro-100 printer and couldn’t be happier. I’ve tried the cheap brands and have ended up throwing each and every one of them away. They either don’t work at all, the colors bleed, or the colors are so far off that they border on the absurd. With Canon ink, you get exactly what you want. Precise colors, well delivered onto the paper with clean lines. I may not be a pro shooter but I will admit to having an excellent eye for color. I have used this ink in prints all of the way up to 12×18 and have been very pleased with the results. In fact, I gave one of my large prints to my sister in law who is the Associate Curator for Acquisitions at a national art gallery. Way back in the film days, she was the top developer for a nationally renowned wildlife photographer. So she has a very keen eye. She has been quite impressed with the coloration on many of the prints that I have made with this ink. In fact, she has a few of my shots hanging in her and my brother’s home. Much of my work is of wildlife, landscapes, and florals where color is everything. Also, the ink tanks last far longer than I ever expected them too. Finally, I this ink works this well for this admittedly amateurish shooter, just imagine what it can do for you.

I use a Canon Pro100 for clients and personal projects and while using third party inks may seem appealing, don’t do it! Yes ink from the manufacturer can get expensive but it beats messing up your print heads or getting prints that fade all too quickly. Canon inks in this case are continuous flowing to keep those print heads moisten and not dried up and clogged. Spend the extra money and get the end results your looking for. Finding these Black/Grey only bundles is hard , but checking here at BH I can always count on them having some in stock. Thank you…

Genuine Canon ink gives me peace of mind, knowing that the coloring, in my prints will be consistent and predictable.

I use these inks on my Canon Pixma Pro 100. I love these OEM inks. I willingly pay the extra cost for OEM Canon inks over the refill ink any day. You get what you pay for.

I haven’t gotten the chance to try it yet, but it came as advertised. The best price I’ve seen for genuine ink.

expensive but the quality is worth it

The Canon ink is expensive but, in my experience, well worth the price. It consistently produces high quality images.

Unlike some 3rd party cartridges that sometimes fail, always reliable and consistent in color

Good ink for your canon printer. Advise is to stick with the original printer ink, if you use non canon brands there is a noticeable difference in color and quality!

I am still using the set that my Pixma Pro came with. So it appears that the cartridge life of the first set is longer than indicated when I purchased it. Which is good.I still have to play around with paper and color settings to find out which combinations give the best results. What I’ve seen so far is that most of the colors are bright in the graphics mode, but the cyan is dull and darker. This however, may only be because I haven’t figured out how much to modify Cyan values.

I have been using a Canon printer now for about 10 years and enjoying the quality prints that it produces. Being able to trust Canon inks for consistent results has been a big part of that satisfaction. I recommend using brand name products for your personal equipment to obtain the highest results.

These colors look very nice when printed with a Pixma Pro 100. They run out quite fast, though.
Taya Wintheiser (verified owner) –
No comparison. The best and clearest color photo ever compared to my HP printers.
