The CLI-251GY XL High-Capacity Gray Ink Tank from Canon is part of the ChromaLife100+ system that guarantees print longevity of 300 years when used with select Canon paper and stored in an archival-quality photo album. The ink tank features an LED light which will illuminate when you install the ink tank correctly. Additionally, when a full set of Canon ink is installed, you can access content on Canon’s Creative Park Premium website for free. The instant-drying ink is compatible with the following printers:

Be sure to use Black and White, otherwise printer uses small photo cartridge.

These cartridges are SO expensive, but in the end they are worth it. I have tried a variety of after market inks trying to save money, and they all too often either don’t work, spill ink all over, or render strange colors (they do sometimes work just fine). So I am back to the Canon inks.
